Orphanram
So when you're near me Derby can't you hear me, S.O.S. The love you gave me Nothing else can save me, S.O.S. When you're gone How can I even try to go on? When you're gone Though I try, how can I carry on? seths-cap
Ignoring the very being of the song and focusing on the first chorus I think this is perfect, not a word needs to be changed.

Seems fitting today to say that in the fight for survival I would do anything ...but I wont sing that... cstand

Skin em Ted
I’ve always thought this would make a great football chant. Although no connection to Theatreland for most fans, that never stopped working class Liverpool and Celtic (YNWA). The lyrics could be tweaked… ‘Do you hear the (forest) sing? I can’t hear a ******* thing Its the voices of the Derby who will drown them out again…’ Though to be honest the original with its theme of unity and standing together would be quite apt at present. Actually.....yep, it does have a very rhythmic quality that could be well utilised into a decent chant.
Carl Sagan
At the Birmingham game it sounded to me as if the South Stand was singing the chorus "I always knew" by The Vaccines. From 1:56 here: Because it's you Oh, it's always you Oh, I always knew Oh, it's you possibly with the "Ohs" replaced by "Derby"? Did I mishear or do we sing this lovely song now? Expect @DarkFruitsRam7(among others) will be able to enlighten me.

They've docked us 21 points And we don't give a duck Cause we are Derby County And we are staying up... Original song: Liverpool's brilliant version (sorry @MuespachRam): Edited January 31, 2022 by DarkFruitsRam7 Carl Sagan

As a Vaccines fan I'd much rather it had been that, but it's still pretty good. Premier ram and DarkFruitsRam7 1
BriggRam
I think we should just sing "we fight till the end" for 90 mins every game, it obviously riles the players, and we tend to score whenever it's sung.......
