They were debt free after the takeover, certainly not before. That is quite common when you get new owners. Derby are also close to being sutainably run..once we get season ticket money in. Just the little matter of the debt and new owners to sort out. Edited October 5, 2021 by PistoldPete r_wilcockson

Guest
Just now, Curtains said: Why is the HMRC debt over 26 Million ! Because HMRC did not chase up any debts during Covid and MM obviously saw this as a good opportunity to run up debt that he would not be liable for. He used HMRC as a cheap source of financing and left DCFC to pick up the tab. Forget anything else he did that was good for the club and his sob story about writing out cheques every month, basically he thinks it is righg for the taxpayer to bear the cost of his mistakes. Well if a takeover takes place the new owners pick up most of the HMRC debt ! PS Some might be at 25 percent but how much ! Guest
Well they have certainly saved us from MM piling more debt on us. Unfortunately the way they went about that was by backing us into a corner which we struggle to get out of. Personally feel the battle became personal to both sides and, unfortunately, neither side had anything to gain out of it other than personal pride.
