The team is just a bit dysfunctional at the minute. We've got a midfielder in Rooney who wants to get the ball and play a long, killer ball in behind for two wingers who don't want to run in behind. One of those wingers is much more suited to play centrally, but is being shoehorned out wide so a massively out of form Holmes can play through the middle. The other winger has a full back willing to overlap at will, but he doesn't want to link up with him and would much rather cut inside and take long shots. And the focal point of our team is a striker who's touch isn't good enough to play as a target man and who's lacking the pace to get in behind/beat a defender. We're relying on a wonder goal or a set piece to really have much chance of scoring at the minute.

Lawrence is in a good position after decent Derby play started by Clarke easily tackling Martin; but he tries to do too much and loses the ball as he charges into the area.

I think it might be because he gives the ball away now and again.

Could be, some of the comments are a bit harsh - We’ve got a few that give it away

Excellent analysis. Agree totally.
