Didn't Barry tell us yesterday. Or maybe Barry IS Football Insiders source?
Ramarena
Not sure how much these people are in the know but.........Looking at Mels body language last night told you all you needed to know. I’d be surprised if there wasn’t a “showdown meeting”

MackworthRamIsGod
I'd be surprised if he isnt sacked later then. Huge risk going into a must win game against Barnsley with the current set up.
Coneheadjohn
Mel didn’t look happy. Did you see Curtis Davies? He looked absolutely livid.
sage
The current takeover is a double edged sword for Cocu. In the long term he is more likely to be sacked but in the short term he is likely to keep his job for the Barnsley game. Play well and win and he may just keep his job. It could be his Mark Robins moment. I doubt it but like the romance of the possibility.

Was that because he was beaten in the air by someone half his height after playing him onside because he was five yards behind every other defender? Maybe the takeover only goes ahead if we are outside the bottom 3. Would give Mel an extra reason to be unhappy as well as having to sit through that game in an empty stadium. CornwallRam
I'm sure Cocu said that he speaks to Mel and Stephen Pearce every day anyway. Maybe they're getting Roy McFarland in to wield the axe?

He dropped 5 yards and kept him onside, as he was nowhere near in line with the our other defenders. If he's dropped 5 yards, at least win your header. Schoolboy error from an experienced defender, poor.

England Ram
Do they get the result of the takeover from the EFL today as well if they are meeting? Would be interesting if they give the green light and this Cocu meeting with the board is to let him know the clubs been sold and the new owners want someone else in charge? Or just to let him know he's on his bike regardless of take over. Or to let him know he has their full confidence and can see the same matches he is watching and they also feel we played well yesterday and were only a tad unlucky......
