I don't understand why everyone seems to be assuming Waggy would lead the line if we brought Harry in. We saw Marriott's potential when we had the likes of Wilson supplying him. If you have tremendous pace, movement and trickery from your wide players and attacking midfielders, then you also open the game up for a forward like Marriott whose own movement, pace and anticipation will complement that of his teammates. I think it's a great potential combination.

Of course both Marriott and Waghorn struggle to stay fit through the season, but both are very good options at our level. With exciting forward prospects coming through the academy to challenge.

Honestly ? Because Mariott hasn't showed nearly enough outside a roughly 10 game hot streak under lampard where for the most part Waghorn operated as an auxillary target man. Whereas Waghorn, despite being occassionally frustrating, always impacts games and on average has been the better player.

Is that 1m up to January or for the season? If it's up to Jan (he is using this as a chance to get a prem move in the next window), then it's a bit steep for a loan. If it's the whole season then it sounds like a bit of a bargain.

Right lads. I don't usually get ITK stuff, but pin your ears back.

Wilson is ours. Loan fee is non-existent. We are just paying his wages.

All Liverpool want in return is to for us to give up our U18 and U23 Premier League position, and have a place on our board. As well as a future say on anything we ever do again.

Heard we might be loaning someone from Man Utd too.

It’s interesting looking at how everything has changed in 24 hours. Looking back, was it Swansea who put out the story about them being favourable to put off the competition when they didn’t want to pay the loan fee. OR was it Liverpool to get the bids in. Either way something didn’t quite hold true...

If Mel wants him he may well come here. Does Cocu want him though..if you make an inquiry, Liverpool tell you how much they want. We decide if we want to pay it. If we do then up to Wilson and Liverpool. Get Wayne to give him a ring. Time it takes to to this is until five minutes before the deadline for no reason known to anyone.

Reckon the loan fee is only a small part of this, it’s how much of his wages is a club willing to pay. Bet his last Liverpool deal put him on about £35-£40k per week, and the rest potentially

He hasnt had a new contract since the one he signed before his loan to us has he?

I really hope the club can get Wilson in, it would be a fantastic piece of business, especially if there was even a remote chance if signing him next season at the end of the loan.

It just seems too good to be true for me however.

Agree and pleased that Cocu may be getting a fair crack at the shop in these uncertain times.Mel appears to be working hard making things happen and it should not be unappreciated  by the fans in what must be exceptional worrying times as a football club owner.
