AndyinLiverpool
I think the ref gave that penalty because he felt guilty over the one he didn’t give.

Millenniumram
Decent-ish first half that for us. We’ve controlled the game in spells and had some nice bits of interplay in the Reading final third, but were just lacking that bit of spark until Lawrence pulled that one out the hat. Great fighting spirit shown after that to not just sit on the 1-0 lead, but to keep driving forward and force the error out of Reading. Finally got the pen we deserved after a fair few dodgy refereeing decisions, and Rooney made up for some of his sloppy play by putting us 2-0 up. We need to be wary though and come out second half with absolute focus. Reading are a good side and we’ve given the ball away sloppily a few too many times - we will be punished if we don’t sort that out. Need to look after the ball a bit better, and make sure our defending is up to scratch - they’ve cut through us a bit too easily at times.
Patrick Rams
Now this is where a lack of crowd could count against us.Imagine 28,000 cheering the Rams off after that fantastic 5 minute spell ...then when coming out for the second half. The crowd would be on a high for rest of the game helping the team to 3 points. No crowd and all that positivety disappears. He is controlling the play from deep and making room for Bird.

Looked a tad soft that peno, but Sibley's was stonewall for me and turned down so evens out. That's what I thought, Sibley pen was more of a pen than the second one! In a sense you’re right but I feel we look much more coherent as a unit when we have the ball. The danger moments for each team maybe the same but we look more like we have a plan as a team. kash_a_ram_a_ding_dong
Great to see Martin contributing to both goals (pre penalty) with those little triangles being played, especially as this is his 500th appearance for the club. Just need a goal for him to top it off...
