Derby County are set to ‘quickly announce’ the appointment of Phillip Cocu, report Voetbal International in the Netherlands.

Twan Scheepers will be joining his compatriot at Derby County, report Voetbal International. He had been an individual coach at PSV, working with players on a one-to-one basis, and will be Cocu’s assistant in England.

This is a better name than Phillip Cocu. Scheepers joins the Rams!

“Monday, Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf made it clear the former PSV manager wasn’t completely convinced on a move to the Championship club.

He was worried about some of the squad last season being made up of loanees, and how those gaps would be addressed going forward.”

If this is true and he signs, I like to think that means we’re already well on the way to identifying and getting our Mount and Wilson replacements.

"Twan Scheepers" sounds like a dodgy Dutch translation of "The Rams"

Mel would do well to get him, however, he's another high profile manager who could be gone just as quickly as Frank if things go well, and once again we will be continuing this vicious circle we always seem to find ourselves in. To stop the rot,  I think Cocu would need to get us up the first time of asking. Just my opinion.

I can only find one video of him speaking English, but he seems to speak it well:

Most Dutch folk speak very good English.  Better than English people, especially those cousins up the road
