Pellegrini might **** it up in West Ham's FOC stadium - and then Lampard would be fast-tracked to rescue them from another debacle of a season, so that the 'entitled' Sarf Londoners don't have to spend too much of their valuable leisure time throwing coins at the WHU main board directors. The future is clear! (NOT) ? You're thinking of Millwall, West Ham are East Laaandon!
rustylee
If it is Lampard just sign him up with a big release clause in his contract then if west ham or Chelsea come calling next season when they are having a mare we get well compensated
Woodypecker
Yes, true! Red carpet for Mr Lampard, please! If we choose McCarthy, call the Kremlin to supply staff to Moor Farm, to discreetly apply the correct dietary 'dose' in his baked-bean breakfast.... An overly large squad, many on high wages, long contracts and past their physical best. Competing against parachute teams with 50 million more to spend that we (or any other similar club ) haven’t got. .. that’s the problem The wage bill is more than the turnover .. that’s a mess ... got it ? Dial in that the league rules on spending and that Mel doesn’t have an oil well. The only way out of the mess is quick promotion via spending (cant do ) or a slower route accepting that you need to develop from the bottom. ... difficult to execute given the financial restrictions and demand for a quick fix by an owner who’s gambles haven’t paid off so far. The rules won’t let us be reckless The owner has been generous but possibly unwise so far, and is desperate for a quick fix without further investment in a loss making enterprise that he is underwriting. So no room there either.

maydrakin
It is worth bearing in mind that we have a squad of reasonable egos - would they be able to respect Dean Smith? I could see the “what have you ever won?” argument cropping up. Lampard is inexperienced, but should be at least in the thrall of the dressing room... Manicsheepreacher
With Lamps there’s obviously question marks about his experience, but essentially we’d be getting a manager who every fan in the world knows. He’d undoubtedly raise our profile worldwide. Would be fascinating if it happened....and it’s not completely implausible that he’d perhaps lace up his boots and come on for the last few minutes of games. He’d be the biggest global footballing star we’ve had since Ravenelli or Taribo West. I could see attendances rising and can even envisage more live games on Sky. If we are actually skint, then from a commercial point of view Frank Lampard actually makes a lot of sense.
