Loved Pail McGrath.. He had a bit of an excuse though didn’t he.. Martin? Hmmmm.

There again, you say ‘slate’.. I hardly think it was a slate, just a comment. FFS. I am fully capable of slating something if needed.

What a snowflake you are with your OTT responses to forumites about your original post.

So we had players out, Yes there were some noticeable omissions from today's team but in fairness we were beaten by the better team.   It's so damn frustrating we don't focus enough or allow teams to dictate play and with it, got to be envious with a manager like Gary Rowett, someone who can motivate and show direction.     I deemed the starting eleven today to be good enough to take something, even victory, but all reports indicate we only came alive when Derby's second strike was forthcoming.

Maybe you'll be of EPL status once again in August, certainly making an impression this season, in truth didn't have you as one of the favorites for a promotion, but there's still so much to be decided.     Hope those who traveled to the game endured a safe trip back, if only you could have taken McCarthy with you and disposed of him at a truck stop nearer you own destination.      I realize he's not entirely at fault for all that's wrong with our club, but still remains a prominent concern among supporters.

Belated Christmas greetings and New Year wishes, certainly more in the way of expectation than ourselves at this present time.

There's a football club in Nottingham just pining for a Mick MCarthy to come and save them from themselves....

There’s a first.. Don’t think I have ever been called a snowflake.

And you use the word ‘forumites’ FFS. Who’s the snowflake?

So let's have this right. I make a comment in a post.. People get all mardy because it’s about St Martin and I have no right of reply because of this?

Move on poppet.

See you just made it more laughable because you can't fookin read can ya. I said prematch and a half time. Prematch he was ambling at the back, did not even do some of the drills. I agree at half time, nobody puts much effort in but conveniently you ignored the pre-match bit.

I am not a Martin fan, no. And in a nutshell, that is exactly why I am not a martin fan. Thanks for making my point.

Back in your box.

So why did you  fookin mention half time warm up then ? Interesting how with fookin hindsight  you miraculously agree with fookin resting Nugent et al .

Hey it's Sunday, no need to swear. I thought "We are all Derby?"......we are second in the league and in an automatic promotion place and some of our fans choose to argue about Chris Martin's warm up......really? Angry Rams opinion, simple as that. Dcfcfans need to get along, share the love, feel the love, sing together, be together and enjoy these happy times together.

Derby County Football club will get promoted and keep improving when it's right on the pitch and when it's right off the pitch.

Enjoy yourselves and help one another. Love Not Hate. Life, Love & Unity! Peace!

Sing up!

Don’t post much but just thought I’d share some views.

1) Given we made 5 changes, it was great to see how quickly we gelled.

2) some great driving runs on the ball from Russell, Wisdom and Keogh. Really deserved some goals from those.

3) FairPlay to Ipswich. Thought they’d fade but came back strongly. Always a threat at corners and it was the one time Carson looked a little shaky (albeit he had their players all over him).

4) felt the defensive subs were justified. We still had legs on the break and once Baird came on I felt a lot less nervous. We could still do a bit of work on running down the clock though.

5) I thought Jonny Russell looked a bit jaded in all honesty. Did some great runs into the box and we should have scored from one of his pull backs. But I saw his head drop a couple of times and I don’t know if it’s because he’s not getting much game time? He still sometimes switches off when defending and I can see why wiemann gets the nod ahead of him. Don’t get me wrong, I like Russell. Think he’s one of our best players at driving with the ball. But idk just seemed a bit down to me. Would be interested to see if anyone else felt the same or maybe I was just looking into things too much.

Overall great win. Could’ve had 4 or 5 but still got 3 points and some fresh legs for Sheffield Utd. Think we’re a lot more resilient and don’t think we’ll collapse. Just maybe another team may have a better run than us.

I will keep it simple for you.

I mentioned it because he was not showing any enthusiasm before the game and at half time. Is that a crime to mention? Put your Chrissy Martin porn annual down for a couple of seconds. Use your hands for something else.

Saturday / Monday is a short gap.. Had it been Saturday / Tuesday and off the back of a great performance, I might have not agreed. I could see some logic for a couple of the older players.

As it happens I would not change anything for Monday..

Saw some people slating Forsyth for giving away the corner that led to their goal. Talk about looking for things that aren't there. He was doing what every defender should do - stopping the cross at source. How is he meant to have any control over where the ball goes when it's fired at him from metres away? Some people will look for any reason to slate certain players it seems.

Good summary with some different points - you should post more often.

I agree about Russell and said so at the game. I can't quite put my finger on it and it's easy to blame it on lack of game time but he has seemed to struggle a bit with his fitness compared to other players. I thought it last season and it's even more pronounced this year when Rowett expects everyone to run until they drop.

It still amazes me how people see games differently. Not most of the post, as I thought we should have had 4 or 5 and it was a great win too. But on Russell, I’m not his biggest fan but thought he played really well yesterday. This could be down preconceptions I suppose. If you expect little but see more, your pleased but if you expect greatness and see less, you are left disappointed. I think after yesterday’s shuffle and as you rightly point out, instant gelling. I fully expect a more even game time for our match day squad. With the exception of the central spine, who will play every game barring injury

Great post, we get a great win away, could have scored 5 or 6 goals, and some still find things to moan at, they must have very exciting lives Lol.

Excellent away performance. Not quite up to the standard of last year when we were 3-0 up at half time and hit the woodwork twice, but very good.

all the 5 newbies selected were terrific. Thorne and wisdom were rocks. Lawrence and russell were bright and lively. Winnall tremendous strikes. Vydra was also excellent. what a pity he didn't smash the second goal within a minute of the the first.

We looked far more in control in the the last 30-35 minutes than it sounded on the radio.

Disappointing to concede but those waghorn corners are superb. His deliveries tested us all match.

Another big test coming. Every game from here on will be mentally tough too.

What about signing Martyn Waghorn? Gary Rowett could not believe his crossing accuracy. Age 27, how much do you reckon he would cost?

Four barkers.

What did he do at the end of the game?

He was clearly very pumped up at the end, fist pumping in front of the Derby fans. Not his usual reaction. Pretty well the last one off.  As we know , he's a very placid chap normally. My guess is he was getting a lot of stick from the Ipswich fans behind the goal, noticed they were accusing him of time wasting when he got an injury in the second half .

Just as an aside, its interesting watching the lads' reactions in the last couple of  won matches when the final whistle gets blown - real celebration and joy. They seem to really have the bit between the teeth.
