Considering no south american team has won a world cup on European soil since 1958, it’s hard to pick a favourite for next summer.

Germany have declined, France and Spain are on the up but still have clear weaknesses.

Brazil IMO have been the best team in the world over the past 12-18 months.

But if the trend continues and a European nation wins it, then it’s really an open tournament.

Unlucky own goal aside, Cyrus Christie has played really well in this match. Got the Danish left back on toast.

Scored a good goal too?

Had a fiver on Denmark at 9-2 when they were a goal down.

Nice that the minor home nations will be able to cheer on their colonial masters.

Sorry, what are you saying here.....that it could be any European team? Assuming that history continues.

England still containing Brazil on a wing and a prayer. This is without several key players. Southgate gets too much stick. This is the weakest bunch of senior players in my memory, so I have no more expectation that slowly building a team and getting past the group stage in Russia.

France to win the World Cup
