Ronaldo's face when Girona scored their second against Real Madrid was priceless.

An amazing win for a club the size of Brentford.

Still 28 games to go for Madrid to claw 8 points back on Barcelona, but they've made a terrible start considering they've only really played Valencia (H) and Real Sociedad (A) as what you'd consider toughish games.

Barca have already played Atletico and Athletic Bilbao away, and before New Year they go to Valencia, Villarreal and Madrid. If they've still got a healthy lead in January they will be massive favourites.

I see Brum have finally found good use for those poxy clapper things.. Throw them on the pitch..

Good for them.

If Derby ever try giving those crappy happy clapper things out at PPS, mine will be straight out onto the pitch.

Sean Dyche has a touch of SAF for me.

The way he manages really average players and pulls out result after result is pretty remarkable.

Burnley are full of players who would struggle to get in any other PL side. Yet, together, incredibly they’re just pulling it off, and that’s down to the manager.

Everton should really go in for him.

Dyche is doing a fantastic job at Burnley, make no mistake, and what an achievement it will be if they can sustain this level and finish in the top 10, unlike last season when they plummeted down the table after the turn of the year.

I don't think Dyche has done enough to get the Everton job. He's been at Burnley for five years, they are his only success story, he knows the club inside out, he plays up the small, plucky club mentality and the biggest ego he has to deal with is probably his own - it's a perfect fit. Furthermore, he is under no pressure whatsoever. Burnley were still tipped to be relegation candidates this season, so in a league where there is very little between 14 teams, it's very easy to overachieve.

The Everton job is way too big for him at this stage.

If the Everton job is too big for him, what is the next step?

Rodgers went from Swansea to Liverpool, Moyes went from Preston to Everton, Pochettino went from Southampton to Spurs, Mark Hughes previously went from Blackburn to Man City.

As you say you could throw a blanket over 13 teams in the PL, ranging from Newcastle to Leicester to Bournemouth to Palace. They’re all ticking bombs, where they will suffer a relegation every so often.

Why would Dyche trade Burnley for a Southampton, West Brom or Watford? What would be the point? He can achieve exactly the same where he is, and he is as you say in a much more comfortable, stress-free post.

There should only be 7 English clubs a Southampton, Leicester or West Ham boss should leave for - City, United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool or Everton. The established 7.

Rodgers finished 11th with Swansea in their debut PL season. Pochettino finished 8th with Southampton in his first full season. Hughes finished in the top ten consistently with Blackburn. Martinez even won the FA Cup with Wigan. As of now, Dyche's best PL finish is 16th.

So obviously for him to get recognised in the same way, the next step for Dyche is to focus on the job he is doing at Burnley, convert this good start and finish in a higher position than last season, because after showing a lot of promise they tailed off last season. If he can do that, then of course, the likes of Newcastle, Everton and West Ham should be looking in his direction.

And when I say this job is too big for him, we have to remember this is a different Everton to the one that Moyes joined from Preston. Farhad Moshiri, the current owner, is very ambitious and has just spent over £100 million in one transfer window and obviously wants to take the club to new heights.

He will be targeting a manager with a track record of success and a manager with a big enough reputation to excite and galvanise the board, the fans, and the players alike.

Dyche's track record and reputation just won't have that effect. It'd be a massive gamble.

Not sure what's happened to Madrid this season. Same group of players but don't look half as threatening.

Madrid have tried to blood too many youngsters in this season.

Last year they had the best squad in the world, with Morata, James, Pepe, Bale/Isco and Danilo providing top quality back-up.

For some reason they’ve decided to sell a number of quality squad players and tried to use Madrid B youngsters as cover.

While Asensio looks good, the others currently aren’t up the task.

Tonight for instance Carvajal, Bale and Varane are missing. So while Real’s first XI is strong, their bench looks incredibly weak for a supposed top team.

Means if anyone of their key players underperforms - Ronaldo, Benzema, Modric and Kroos haven’t been anywhere near their best this season - they don’t have any decent alternatives.

Real are in danger of not winning anything this season in their current state.

Agree Carvajal and the two centre backs are big misses, but with the quality they still have out there you'd expect them to be able to beat Spurs at least once.

Also, didn't their fans hate Danilo?
