Kamikaze
I think for who was available on free or loan it's a wise choice, remember the lads still only 20! Him Weimann Ince Razza and Russell would terrorise defences with their pace/movement/effort.

Whoneedshuls
So does everyone reckon it's going to be announced today then or next week?
Ramarena
I suppose my only reservation would be does this lad offer something that Weimann doesn't, or does Pearson have plans for both of them, they seem like similar players from what I have seen/read about Wilson. Dimmu
Whatever you think about Pearson, you have to appreciate his transfer dealings in the past. Only thing which worries me is that Wilson looks like player who would do well in defense-orientated, counter-attacking team... Perfect for 4-4-1-1 striker and that's something I'm not keen to see. Jimbo Ram
Would rather have Wells but if we bring Wilson in lets hope he does well and bangs them in....
Mills_DCFC
Looks like i'm in the minority here but I'm very pleased with his signing... if it actually happens
DazzaRam
Wilson is a no risk sensible loan signing. The prices being asked are ridiculous. Nakhi Wells would cost a fortune but is he really worth that amount? Have patience and just back Pearson. He has won this league at a canter 2 years ago so he knows what is required. Thierry Ennui
We can't dominate every match. He could be the ideal option against teams who are outplaying us.

I get why that worries you, compared to the last 3 years of possession dominant football, with occasional attacking flair. But maybe that's why he's in, that sounds like Pearsons style - strong defensively with fast counter attacking. Our old style of play could be lovely to watch, apart from those few games we played top teams who were strong defensively and would make us look rubbish (Burnley, Boro, Leicester) now we want to become that team. Wilson may fit that style
BranstonRam
Will be very happy with this signing. Slight comparisons to Jamie Ward from viewing his highlight reel . . . ?
Kennington Ram
Seems like a good signing, there's no risk if it doesn't work out but if it does, he could net 10+ for us this season. Hopefully should add some variety to our threat up front.
Bound 2 tease
I hope he a no risk signing and there's no obligation to play him in the loan agreement. Remember that Jesse Lingard fella ..turned out good for Man U ...but hardly set the I-Pro alight
Sparkle
If we sign him then good luck to him in our shirt, his season last year seemed to compare to wieman ? So there is room for a lot of improvement from both of them!
Animal is a Ram
Good signing. Won't be cheap, but certainly cheaper than the likes of Wells/Kodjia/Assombolonga. Less risk too. Different option to Martin or Bent. Has experience of the league. The only thing I don't like - but true of most loan players - is that we're developing another club's player. Are people writing him off because he hasn't cost £8m?
MackworthRamIsGod
Funnily enough, if we signed him on a perm transfer in the current market he would probably cost around 8 million being from United.

I imagine we're bringing him in with a view to playing him centrally. Expect him to do far better.
thekingofbuxton
If we discount permanent signings for a moment, I wonder if their is a better striker still available for loan? Bamford? Akpom?
