Give it a rest, all you rest key players merchants must be delighted because if we'd won 3 nil you'd have nothing to say I told you so about.

Reading what @Gritters posted he took a shot and landed badly. What's Wassell got to do ? Rest players in case they take a shot ?

**** happens, live with it.

Obviously not ideal but a broken bone is preferable to ligament damage again which is what I assumed it would be. Gutted for him but missing the play offs and a bit of next season is okay in comparison to him having his career ended.

Someone in this universe really doesn't want Will Hughes and George Thorne to play together.

Since Thorne signed permanently for us nearly 2 years ago, him and Hughes have only started 6 games together.

Sheffield Wednesday, February 2015.

Charlton, February 2015.

Watford, April 2015 - Thorne went off injured after 29 mins and missed the rest of the season.

Bolton, August 2015 - Hughes went off with a serious injury.

Brighton, May 2016.

Ipswich, May 2016 - Thorne went off with what looks to be a serious injury.

@EastHertsRam when you've got one fit CDM and the whole system is based around that position you rest Thorne. It's nothing about getting a told you so in its common sense.

To be blunt this kind of stuff is nonsense. We could have rested him now and had this happen 20 minutes in against Hull and we'd be basically in the same position, except we'd need to adjust mid game. The likelihood of this happening at any time is low, the fact that it did in a "dead rubber" (not an actual one, but people are treating it that way) doesn't change that.
