Rample Posted June 1, 2016 Share Posted June 1, 2016 I'd say Kalou is well out of our range, he was a regular starter and hit 14 in 32 for a top 7 German side last season so he won't step back this far or take the necessary wage drop. Great competition and cover for Thorne. Downside is that he'll probably want big money and last time we gave a newly promoted player big money to come to us, he didn't exactly set the world alight. For me we need to have rid of Albentosa and Shotton... I'd like to keep Pearce IF he'd be happy to be understudy to Keogh... But doubt he will... Then we have 6 CMs who all expect first team football... And a load of forwards who are all around the same ability level (ie, good but somewhat inconsistent) Don't see the value of buying any Mids or Forwards at all at the moment... Centre Midfielders No one. Huddlestone if we end up offloading plenty and want a different option Wingers Alex Pritchard given half a chance. Would be a lot of cash to pay (maybe loan with option to buy?) I wouldn't go that far but I know what you mean after such a strange period of recruitment which has baffled and frustrated us, it will be satisfy to see some pruning and shaping. He's fast, he anticipates mistakes, he can use both feet and he can use his head!!! All round great player who could probably play off Martin? And he knows Powell.... What more do you want ???
