With Hinckley Town? I forgot about that.

It's Leicester Road FC now. About Level 10 in the non-league pyramid.

In fact, the demise of Hinckley Town brought about the formation of 2 teams, the other being Hinckley AFC, who play in the same league.

Leicester Road got the better deal, with a lovely little stadium, only a few years old. Hinckley AFC seem to play in a field attached to a church hall near Heather.

But I doubt a single Leicester fan would have predicted this! He was okay last season, nothing brilliant, so at the moment still remains a one season wonder unless he can carry on next season too.

Doesn't mean his meteoric rise is any less incredible though!

Anyone blessed with that much speed and who plays with that much tenacity will be successful it's just a question of how successful. He will carry on. At the least you can't keep your eyes off him on the pitch he's so dangerous. What's different now from last season is the consistency of his final product.

Well done Jamie Vardy for moving into second place outright in the consecutive goals record, one more to equal the record, two more to break it. Jimmy Dunne's record of scoring in 12 consecutive games for Sheffield United has stood since 1st January 1932. Score against Swansea and Chelsea and you break it.

Or if you're the media, specifically Sky Sports, well done Jamie Vardy for breaking Van Nistelrooy's record outright and setting the record for scoring in the longest consecutive run of games since football began*.

*NB: Football began in 1992, apparently.

In fairness MOTD did mention the Jimmy Dunne record. At least the commentator did.

Really pleased for Vardy. He was impressive in the Championship and I was always sure his pace and persistence would cause difficulty to a Premiership in which good defending is in short supply. He would be in my England team, and if we could put him with Sturridge and Sterling we could frighten the best.

If you put him in with Sturridge all he'll be frightening is the treatment room!

Anything before 1992 is BS.

That's Before Stelling;)
