In fact, the demise of Hinckley Town brought about the formation of 2 teams, the other being Hinckley AFC, who play in the same league. Leicester Road got the better deal, with a lovely little stadium, only a few years old. Hinckley AFC seem to play in a field attached to a church hall near Heather. CaverRam
If you've got 8 mins spare the 'Unauthorised Facts of Jamie Vardy' is worth a chuckle..'the Vardy Family are the breakdancing champions of Sheffield...made his own boots out of bin bags, fought is Iraq etc' :-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5TEsP0ImBY

He was okay last season, nothing brilliant, so at the moment still remains a one season wonder unless he can carry on next season too. Doesn't mean his meteoric rise is any less incredible though! Anyone blessed with that much speed and who plays with that much tenacity will be successful it's just a question of how successful. He will carry on. At the least you can't keep your eyes off him on the pitch he's so dangerous. What's different now from last season is the consistency of his final product. RadioactiveWaste
Didn't Adam Le Fondre make a similar jump, or was that from a league 2 side? Still, all the best to him.

Tombo
I cannot believe Jamie Vardy's name is somehow now etched into Premier League history. That astounds me. When did he get good, someone please tell me?
Albert
He looks a genuine goalscorer, and with a bit of confidence he's been brilliant.
Cisse
Amazing achievement. What makes me really glad is the fact that he reached that record in a little club without Chelsea/Barca kind of money spending.

Kernow
Well done Jamie Vardy for moving into second place outright in the consecutive goals record, one more to equal the record, two more to break it. Jimmy Dunne's record of scoring in 12 consecutive games for Sheffield United has stood since 1st January 1932. Score against Swansea and Chelsea and you break it. Or if you're the media, specifically Sky Sports, well done Jamie Vardy for breaking Van Nistelrooy's record outright and setting the record for scoring in the longest consecutive run of games since football began*. *NB: Football began in 1992, apparently. Chris Mills
4 years ago to this day Vardy scored for Fleetwood in front of 768 fans. Today he breaks the record for scoring in the most consecutive Premier League games! Living proof it's never too late to make your dreams come true! Dimmu
Hats off. That's one hell of a achievement. I kind of hope that he keeps on scoring, any change in top of the league is more than welcome.

He was impressive in the Championship and I was always sure his pace and persistence would cause difficulty to a Premiership in which good defending is in short supply. He would be in my England team, and if we could put him with Sturridge and Sterling we could frighten the best. If you put him in with Sturridge all he'll be frightening is the treatment room!
