  1. I'm willing to bet this was done by FSB which means by Putin. The aim is to get people behind the new moblisation of the reserves that Putin is ordering.
  2. If you are in interested in "Pendergast-series" I recommend to start with The Book of the Dead. It is a little like Sherlock Holmes fighting crime with a bit of horror story within. But I must warn you that you might not be able to put the book down once you have started.
  3. The Wheel of Darkness by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. I love this series.
  4. In no particular order Hill Street Blues Colombo MacGyver X-Files Little House on the Prairie Magnum House Bonanza Band of Brothers St Elsewhere
  5. Firstly forgive me, my English is far from perfect. 🙈 I should have used the word city. I know Birmingham is the second largest city in UK. Secondly the first time I visited England I stayed in Birmingham for a week in the Irish quarters and absolutely loved it. Me and my mate fell in love this Irish pub called The White Swan in Digbeth. The owners and the customers made us very welcome. I understood that there is not many tourists around there. I know that the the Irish quarters are gone as is The White Swanwhich we visited until the end.😭 After my first visit I have stayed in Derby, London or Belper (Thank you Sage). However I always go shopping in Birmingham on a rainy day while in Derby. It has become one of my favorite places in UK. I have seen how many stores and restaurants have vanished from Birmingham, and unfortunately from Derby too which makes me sad. However the idea of a city to go bankrupt is just plain crazy. It makes me sad, mad and scared of the future.
  6. I just learned that Birmingham, the town has gone bankrupt. I first visited England and Birmingham in 2007 and I have visited there almost yearly since. I have seen the town taking a turn to the worse but it was quite a shock to learn this news. I also found out that a lot of cities are doing really poorly for example Scarborough. Without going too much in politics so that the moderators don't have to close the thread could you folks enlighten me a little on this subject. Thanks.
  7. This thread is bound to create same havoc as it did last year. 🙄
  8. Yes, I thought so but I can't be sure. Well let's just hope the lightning doesn't strike the same place twice.🙄
  9. Last season someone made a similar thread and after that we went in to a horrific patch of games. 🥶
  10. What did Mrs. Claus say to Santa Claus when she looked up in the sky? Looks like rain, dear!
  11. I have been sent flying on skates and there is not a lot you can do while in air. It happens so quick. Even though Petgrave is a dirty player he is also not skilled enough to do Bruce Lee type moves with or without skates. Petgrave plays in Britain because he can't play in better leagues. One problem with these kind of videos is that when you watch them in slow motion things start to look so different from the reality. The same kind of thing happened to Richard Zednik in the past. His own team mate went flying and cut Zednick's throat. Luckily Zednik survived.
  12. I can't attend the game today but for those who can I hope you will create a good atmosphere for B4 for the whole game. Daniel, you will be in my thoughts buddy.
  13. Seeing that shirt made me emotional. Losing B4 is still hard to understand. 😢
  14. I hope Warne can get in a couple of new players of his liking when the transfer window opens. After that we could go a long way forward.
  15. I noticed that I missed a word on my post. I meant to say about B4 that he was the epitome of a SUPPORTER. I guess B4 if anyone will understand me making a mistake while emotional.
  16. Crushed to hear this terrible news. My heart goes for the family of Daniel. So often he lifted my spirits and made me smile. He was the of a SUPPORTER. You will be missed. RIP B4 - Daniel
  17. There was nothing reckless in that tackle. But the fact is that sometimes when players get airborne the blade does a havoc and is often life threatening. Over the decades I have seen few throats cut and also some wrists cut. This was the first time someone died though. Also it has to be mentioned that players have gear that protects from these kind of accidents but often they don't use them if it isn't obligatory by the rules. In Finland the league demands you use gear to protect your throat. It is also true that tv lies a lot about the pace the players are moving in. It is scary on that ice actually but you just rely everything to be okay.
  18. I have seen thousands of ice hockey games and I have spend thousands of hours on ice myself. I can say that was an accident. Petgrave tried to tackle a player who managed to slip away from it which caused Petgrave go airborne. You can't control yourself in that situation. It happens so quick. When you watch it on tv in slow motion again and again it looks so different. RIP Adam Johnson.
  19. A few years ago I read somewhere that people trying to call somewhere but not being able to is one of the most common dreams that people find unpleasant.
  20. Enjoying a Polish Zywiec strong lager right now. Excellent.
