Well done!  Hope all goes well for you (and the Rams).

Fair play to the Anon who's just donated the £2.5k that was left after the general public got it to 50% of the target. I wonder who's got that much spare cash floating around these days? Feels like my last energy bill was that high!

If you've got to pick and choose the games you go to, people are obviously going to pick the big ones though.
I have to ration the games I go to this season due to work and finances. The way I'm doing that is by saying I'll go to every weekend game home and away, but will skip midweek games. That's my way of rationing, but others will choose to go to the big occasions and give the smaller ones a miss. That couldn't be me, as I'd genuinely rather a trip to Accrington away than Man United, but I'm a weirdo.
I know there's always a mad rush to get Wembley tickets, but I don't think I've ever seen a "half-fan" demanding priority over those that go every week. The regular home and away matchgoers absolutely deserve priority, and as long as that's respected then I don't see the issue.
It bugs me a little bit when I see people who pay no attention to the club all of a sudden becoming a huge fan when we get to the big games, but I think those are few and far between. Most simply can't afford to travel across the country, or they prioritise family/other time every other weekend. And that's fine.

What about retired people struggling to pay their energy bills and working Rams with no mortgage or on a very comfortable income compared to their outgoings?

I strongly suspect that with new owners who play with a straight bat the EFL will be reciprocating. I also think that things will unravel in a reasonably fair manner over the coming months.  BUT …..
That said, the EFL had an agenda stoked by parties within it that had conflict of interest. It was weak, it didn’t  apply sanctions in an even handed way. It is defective in many ways that are simply unacceptable for a governing body. There are gaping holes in how and when  it decides to put clubs under scrutiny. Watford, Reading, Forest and others have ridden roughshod over the spirit of the rules and have not been “examined” with 1/10th of the scrutiny and sanction that we faced. That is not a level playing field whether Morris was a bandit or not.

In the manufacturing industry where a product needs critically controlled quality, if something goes wrong you examine your process and the means you use to control it. If something has gone wrong, the process control is insecure, it has failed, it needs to be modified, improved, changed.
You then take internal action to correct those failings. I haven’t seen one iota of self examination from the EFL. …. What we are getting now is … “DCFC is ok now so we’ll be quite nice and reasonable as long as we see fit.”  Thing is the original process is still in place, the same stuff could happen again. It needs sorting for the sake of sport and natural justice
I wouldn’t trust them to sit the right way round on a lavatory ( thanks Rowan Atkinson ?)

I live 90 miles from Torquay and 140 miles from Pride Park.  So a rare chance for me to see the Rams.  Tickets shouldn't be that hard to come by.
However, instead I'll be driving 165 miles up to Chesterfield (and back again) for a nephew's daughter's dedication service.  Sigh.
At least I can record it from terrestrial TV.  Let's hope for Bristol Rovers in Round 2...

I know you're joking, but it's true. Whether we've been set up how Rosenior set us up, or how Warne has set us up, that's been the complete difference between our good games and our bad ones.

I think it’s fair to say that most games are won by the team that works the hardest.
If you watch Manchester City, they run their socks off in support of their team mates. The passing looks lovely of course, but you can’t make a good pass unless someone makes a telling run and several others ‘decoy’ runs.
When they lose the ball, they’re angry and want it back.
In order to play with that intensity, you have to be really fit.
You also need to hate losing.
We’re in a transition period between a side that was happy to be 80% fit and play tidy football and a fit, hungry team that wants to score goals.
I hope Warne is successful because his methodology makes sense.
His players need to buy into it.
Last Tuesday, they didn’t look like a side that did. The enforced change to 4-3-3 and a good start on Saturday seemed to breathe life into them.

I'm with @Srghere. We're talking professional sport, of which football is the pinnacle. At their age, Davies and Chester are pushing their bodies above and beyond to compete at this level and will always be risking injury. Knight was injured going in for a tackle. Barks is supposedly renowned for his pace, but he's not young either and so will always be risking hamstrings.
Injuries are part and parcel of football. I want us to play with intensity.
