Jubbs got a reaction from Ghost of Clough in Matchday Thread - Shrewsbury Town v Derby County (16/08 19:45)
People need to calm down. Shrewsbury might not be a "good" side but they're an extremely difficult side to break down, stats show that and we created more dangerous chances than they've conceded in all 3 of their games put together.

Why would we wear the away kit/3rd kit? The home kit is the best option out of the three kits to use vs Shrewsbury.

Jubbs got a reaction from LeedsRam1999 in Matchday Thread - Charlton Athletic v Derby County (06/08 15:00)
Going off their first game, this was Charlton's "zones of control"
Blue = In Charlton's control >55%
Grey = Contested 45%-55%
Red = In Accrington's control, so <45% control
They lacked control of the ball in the central areas, which is where we win games. If Bird/Hourihane/Smith are able to get on the ball in the middle of the pitch, like Accrington's midfielders were able to, we'll win
Charlton have a high PPDA (passes allowed per defensive action). Although high, they only forced 3 high turnovers, so I don't think they press well.
We typically used to struggle against teams who press high, however I think more recently we've had success against high pressing teams, the likes of Fulham, Bournemouth, West Brom and Sheff Utd last season.
I think we'll be able to break their press easily and have a lot of success through the middle. (or I could be completely wrong and look stupid)

As per John Percy, Palace offered £30k compensation for Ebiowei. No doubt we will get more from the tribunal.

Jubbs got a reaction from Magicman in Alfreton Town vs Derby County (Match Thread)
I don't get the hate on Stretton. We aren't playing to his strengths. Getting the ball to him with his back to goal is useless, you need balls in behind and whipped crosses to him.
It's clear this was a fitness thing as well for the lads who haven't played as much minutes in pre-season, we were "bottling" out of challenges because they want to stay injury free.
It was a good test for weaker, smaller players to play against stronger players, as we saw with their striker. I think at one point we had only 2 players above 6ft on the pitch, Fozzy and Stearman.

Jubbs got a reaction from Tamworthram in Crystal Ball predictions
Find it really interesting how different some predictions are. So far I've seen:
Fivethirtyeight: 1st
NTTPod: 6th
Betfair/Gabriel Sutton: 15th(!!!)
I'd be happy with play-offs, but 15th is a bold prediction.
