As for this season's kit, it's better than last season's but still... meh. Think we could have done more to commemorate the most successful era in the club's history. I'm also not a big fan of having a betting company as a sponsor (but understand they're in a contract etc. etc.).

They sold them until fairly recently, my lad bought me one for my birthday, I’m sure it was last years birthday present. ( June 2020)

Surely there's some younger defenders out there on frees/loans?! We've already got Curtis to fill the 'seasoned veteran' role at the back. Stearman's awful and Jagielka's nearly 40!
Frees - Tom Lees? Thomas Lam (Finnish, but is a regular part of their national team, so should score enough points)? 
Loans - Axel Tuanzebe/Teden Mengi from Manure? Jarrad Branthwaite from Everton? Get George Edmundson back from Rangers?
All would be better options IMO.

I know you're the man @Dimmu when it comes to Finnish football, so if you think he's not suitable for Championship football then you've got more of an idea than me ? I'd also forgotten that he'd played for F*rest!

50 years since our first league championship win? Surely this would do as a home shirt with red numbers on the back and some sort of lettering 'League Champions 1971-72' around the Ram? All for the light blue charity away kit if that happens.

What great news, so if it was up to them they would appeal but their lawyers advised it was a waste of time.  Great get out for them, they can say that they tried to the rest of the league now.

Precisely, where does it end, their route to promotion was shady to say the least.
It’s comical to then try and turn their attention to us following their inevitable relegation from what in essence was a division that in all fairness they should never have been promoted to in the first place.

They don't buy them. They 'compensate' us for the money we've spent on their education and training. It's another scam that favours the richest clubs. Expect more of it now Prem clubs can't have their pick of Europe's youngsters in the same way.
Not saying we're blameless in this as we've used the same system to pick up Knight, Bogle, Ebosele etc. But we're lower down the pecking order so gonna get done over ourselves too.
Our biggest problem is sell-on clauses. When Bogle went, Swindon made money, but with a player that transfers to a Manchester City or United, there really is no sell-on. If they make it there,  noone else will be able to afford them.

Just watching the L2 play-off final. Sam Lavelle from Morecambe. Get him in. Very solid centre-back and good with the ball at his feet... rarely see that in L2.

I see this suggested here quite often but it's a no for me. Even though he likes to tackle, he is not a DM per se. Certainly, not alone. 
He is too eager to tackle to be a good one alone or at least it wouldn't be his natural game. Bit higher than DM, driving runs & box to box, that's his natural game.

Never mind a coaching position, I'd be offering him another 12 months' playing contract if he was up for it! We need new centre-backs for next season and CD could be valuable as both a backup and mentor to whoever we get in.

Like many others, I didn't get the decision to take him off today... at all! He was definitely one of our better players.
Joz could still turn out to be the best bit of business we've done in a long time... all we need is for him to play a blinder at the EUROs and someone to offer us £8-10million. Job done! (although we'd probably end up selling for a bag of peanuts anyway).
