Then why don't you tell us?
Otherwise you just sound like other posters who don't know anything but are fearing the worst.
If you do know stuff and are trying to rally supporters around a campaign, then shouldn't you be telling folks how it is?

Those of us who remember 1984 and the travails of Stuart Webb in saving the club from going out of business at the 59th minute of the 11th hour can't help but be concerned at the moment and that is just taking into account the known facts and not the added suppositions.
In 1984 it was the Inland Revenue petitioning to wind the club up due to unpaid taxes, I don't beleive that we have worries of that kind this time but the EFL have shown with Bury that they are willing to let clubs go. Hopefully the fact that they were substantially culpable in that case with their 'fit and proper person test' failure will make tham more careful this time.

Rooney has been in sole charge for 32 games. If you split it in half, it is a tale of huge extremes.
    First 16 - W8, D4, L4 = 28 points from 48.
    Last 16 - W2, D3, L11 = 9 points from 48.
It’s almost a 70% decrease in points garnered. An incredible drop off.
Rooney is unfortunate in the sense that if you reversed the two spells and we were going into the last game after winning 8 in 16, spirits would be high and Rooney would probably be getting hailed by one and all.
But perhaps by the same token if Rooney’s tenure had started with 2 wins in 16, he probably wouldn’t have got this far either.
If we win on Saturday, it will be 3 wins in 17. The kind of form that could perhaps result in a hangover the following season, as we saw with Cocu. We are at risk of repeating the very same cycle.
For me, it is a massive risk giving Rooney more time in the job and we really should be looking at pre season to make a clean break and freshen things up.
I mean you’d replace the coaches, you’d replace the players, you’d splash out millions, but you would leave in charge the man who has been a key player in all of the complete disarray at the club? Why?

I thought 2020 was a tough year, 2021 has been absolutely mental so far.
5 weeks ago my brother-in-law committed suicide and then last week my wife lost our baby whilst 4 months pregnant and we spent a rough couple of days in hospital having to still give birth. Tough times.
I was at least hopeful Wayne Rooneys Rams would cheer me up slightly on the Saturday, but it wasnt to be.
My escapism has always been the Rams, but at the minute it's like going on holiday to Normanton to get away from it all.

Ultimately when Rooney leaves, hopefully this time next week he will be gone, he can look back at why he failed. For me not bringing in an experienced number 2 (as the season went on he could of swallowed some pride and asked Mac), his tactics and substitutions were ill thought, failure to strengthen the squad in January (genuinely how many would we want permanently) and finally his failure to get the players fighting for him and the shirt.
Stay up he must go - if we stay up it will purely be due to others failing to take advantage
Go down he must go - 6 defeats on the bounce in our position is unforgivable

I don't disagree with this- the distinct problem we've got is that the manager hasn't given us a style and that's by his own admission. It's remarkable that after 31 games in charge he hasn't stamped an identity on this team and ultimately that's why we're losing and not playing to the potential that is in that squad. I think if Rooney had stuck to the shape and style of that first half against Blackburn we'd be out of trouble by now. He didn't and instead the 'mirroring' process has been repeated to absolutely dire results.

You linked the wrong ones but ultimately it kind of proves my point- the essential parts of the squad are very similar- we have replaced bogle with byrne, hamer with marshall (deffo an upgrade), martin with ckr (the one area i do agree is a downgrade) the loans of edmunson and menghi are supposed to have beefed up the defence and are more than an adequate replacement for an injured davies and Roberts is just as good as jof who is now at rotherham. So where are the massive deficiencies that have led us to this position?

    Be that resign or sacked?
Or are there any on here who would like to see him lead us into next season in League One?
Not a loaded question. Just interested to see if relegation is the line we have drawn for him.

Had a couple of shirts made up using standard Umbro team apparel to mark the achievements of Clough & Taylor and also Dave Mackay, mainly to add a chapter into the book the colours of the Rams if the club and Umbro don’t do something.
we used the basic template matching the 1971/72 shirt and the style of the charity shield shirt badge, on the second shirt we went for the blue and white and the Umbro tapes on the cuffs, both finished off with the blood red no 10 as a nod to the king, also used the Derby County font for the wording.
the cost of these shirts from Umbro was £11.
we then added our design, can’t sell them due obviously to copyright infringement but would be nice if the club could do something similar.

Think it’s worth remembering the lad is only 22, moved to another country joining a team that’s struggled whilst bringing through a number of academy players.
Apply some context, not all players hit the ground running.
Maybe if we stick with him, let him settle in, not get on his back (when stadiums reopen) we’ll get to see the best of him?

Not for the first time, I'm with @angieram on this one.
I've supported Derby for over 40 frustrating years, sometimes up, mostly down, and recently I've found myself pondering on what it actually means to support the club.  After all, there is almost no link between the Derby of the late '70s and that of today - not the players, manager, owners; not even the ground.  Perhaps the kit, if you squint in a low light...
I think it was Rowett's preposterous sale of Will Hughes that really crystallised it for me - it's through the development of the club's young players that I most identify with the club.  I really enjoy watching young football players develop; like the vicarious thrill of hearing fans of other teams talk about "that young Derby player" they've seen; even more so when, like Buchanan this season, they show it on a bigger stage.
That's why, after yesterday's disappointment, I found myself looking at other results - Will Hughes at Watford, obviously, but also Jack Stretton at Stockport, Farrend Rawson (& Nigel Clough) at Mansfield, Charles Vernam at Bradford, wondering where JH-I is at Stevenage....  These players (and manager) are always "Derby" to me.
And so, after Rooney's ill-advised public comments about Louie Sibley yesterday, I no longer care whether Rooney goes or stays.  For me, Derby County isn't about Wayne Rooney, it's about Louie Sibley, Max Bird, Lee Buchanan and the others.   Keep going, boys.

Just like Rooney praising Watson but never starts him.

All of the players we have with any sort of imagination going forward is always on the bench.

Rooney seems too negative, which surprises me.

I hope Sibley can take it. It must be very tough for him playing out of position, seeing Watson get praise for being brought in to play centrally when this is Sibley's position but he's never selected to show what he can do there. Yet last season he showed us how good he was playing centrally. It's a very weird one on Rooney's part.

This made me think about signings in particular, and I realised we haven't really had decent recruitment since Clough. I remeber at the time people bemoaning his loyalty to his back room staff, that they weren't at this level, and his brother as head of recruitment. But I honestly can't think of any signings since that compare with the likes of Martin, Bryson, Russell, Keogh, Eustace for longevity and effecriveness. Even Mac's success was built around Clough's signings, and any other memorable players we've had in the intervening years have come from the academy.
