Would still rather us operate mostly in the free agent market, at least at first, there’s a strange amount of quality in there this year. Lifted restrictions is ideal for loan fees and paying compensation on young players who might get offered contracts though (Roberts), hopefully we can offer some longer contracts too, brilliant news

Yep, would still like to see the sensible approach Clowes preaches and I believe we will. But it means we might be able to pick up a couple of the younger free agents and pay compensation as per the rules. Also the young Irish striker we’re being linked to for a couple of hundred grand would be good. I think the new head of recruitment has history of finding bargains from the Emerald Isle

Stopped posting as no-one reading. We won 3-0, two clear penalties and the referee didn't hesitate in giving them.
The final scoreline was more reflective of the dominance of Derby. Jack was a spectator most of the game but came out with a great save when he needed to.
Good to see the under 18s finish the season strongly.

    - Don’t need to change anything, might seem a stretch and I know it’s a different level, but I think that first 25 minutes is the best we’ve played since the second half of 19/20 under Cocu, probably the best since Blackburn at home on Sibley’s debut. We created so many chances, just lack cutting edge and finishing, which should be one of the top priorities in the summer, but I think this team gives us the best chance of scoring, tempting to start Collins but I think we’re better starting with the two 10’s.
    - Need big performances from NML and Wildsmith with points to prove. Start quickly and score early, quieten down the sold out crowd and we absolutely have to take our chances, I’m already bricking it and we’re still days away.

Exactly this. We're unbeaten in 6 and I'd be amazed if a draw here isn't enough. Warne has changed it around and decided the 3-4-3 is the way to go. He isn't going to change it up again now. The experimentation is over. It brings all his best players into the team. The Sibley haters can do one. It wouldn't surprise me if Louie comes up with the vital goods to see us over the line, all the way to Wembley. Any Derby team without him in some sort of central attacking position is less likely to create or score goals.
That said, after last week's failure I was in a slough of despond and decided we have a squad of bottlers, so I've put an insurance bet on for Peterborough to make the playoffs, at 4-1. Those odds are a demonstration that we are expected to at least qualify.

I was reading the clickbait thread about Pride Park a few weeks back, and it got me thinking.
The area where I sit/stand, is pretty grubby to be honest.
Cobwebs and years of grime baked into the surroundings, I've often thought of taking some cleaning wipes in and giving it a good going over, but matchday probably isn’t the time to do it.
The summer break though, could be the perfect time!
We could show our appreciation, by devoting a few hours of our time one weekend of the clubs choosing, and descend on PP on mass with our dusters, polish and swiffers.
Sunderland did something similar, when they engaged volunteer fans to fit new seats, so it is possible.
Maybe the club could utilise us in a different way, as they see fit.
Even if only 1% of ST Holders responded to the cause, that would still be 200 people. Pledge 4 hours each, and that's 800 hours of free labour, more than enough I'd have thought to get the place spick and span.
We could bring our own materials, and take away the used products, to save the club even having to hire disposal facilities or purchase equipment.
Get the tannoy playing out some tunes, to keep us entertained whilst working, and we could have a great community day out, helping in a practical way the club we all love.
We can't match the owners financial commitment to the club obviously, but we can show how much we appreciate his involvement by using our free time to help the club.
    What do you guys think?
Maybe @angieram could sound out the Ramstrust membership, to see if there's any merit in the idea?

There is a lot of talent in the under-18s... and potentially even more so in the younger age groups (16s, 15s, 14s). Even after the last couple of years the future is bright. Even if it takes a few years for this to show at U21 level.

Gutted not to win but glad we didn’t lose. Matched Peterborough’s result, still in the top 6, still ahead of them on points, still in our hands.
Credit to Warne for making the changes to personnel and shape second half to get us back into it. Great finish from Collins.
Potential for last day drama against Sheff Weds, there’s a familiar feeling to that which I can’t quite place 🤔 🐏

The thing annoys me about the whole team sheet thing is that Bennett deserved to start that game, he was immense against Leeds. The mistake was playing Huddlestone over Marriott, yet no one is willing to admit that, Bennett is the easy target.

Has to be the same team and formation. Those on here saying they'd drop Sibley after all the great things he did on Saturday, just wow.
Would be fantastic if we can get the win and Peterborough fail to win, but this is Derby so things rarely end up working out so easily.

Why would you want to "experiment" now?
Hourihane has had two very decent games last week vs Exeter & Burton, and apart from Burton hitting the post and the header over the bar near the end, Derby should have been out of sight by at least three more goals by FT.
Two wins with the same players and formation has proven the right balance and should continue.

No offence to the OP, but this argument does my head in.
How many times did people say this when we were in the Championship promotion race? It was said pretty much every season, and yet here we are in League One after missing numerous chances to go up.
Get promoted and worry about everything else afterwards. It’s been 16 years since our last promotion. Nothing is guaranteed.

Anyone else noticed a familiar pattern this season? Just like the Rowett and Lampard seasons, we've:
Started slowly Surged up the table Threatened the automatic places Lost form heading towards spring Fall outside (or come very close to falling outside) the play off places right towards the end Rediscovered some form and snuck into the play offs at the death (fingers still crossed on this one) Those seasons obviously didn't end as planned. The question is, do you think this year will be different?

Sibley's best performance for a while, before he got his beak smashed in anyway, and the front three are really starting to look threatening and cohesive. Just need the goals to back them up now!
Didzy might well be up there with my favourite Rams to watch ever. He's just a delight!
