Warneball not even close to winning me over. The kick and run was bad enough, but it seemed to me that whilst we were under some defensive pressure Forsyth and Cashin were in control, and forming a good strong shape. Coming on, Davies just inadvertently created problems for us. Forsyth didn’t seem to know where he should be in the five. Glad I am watching games on TV. I am having early 80s flashbacks of watching turgid football in the wet and cold.

We were 7th when Warne arrived and we are 7th now... no signs of progress or improvement with Warne in charge at all.

I wonder how many times Warne is going to try to force this awful 3 at the back system before he realises this squad isn't suited to it. The game was crying out for another midfielder to calm things down, get a foot on the ball and stop the crosses but instead we just let Burton carry on pumping balls into the box. Poor game management.

Spurs or Newcastle away please. For me, just want to avoid Forest and Chesterfield. I live in the latter and wouldn't live it down if we lost!

We already have Bird, Knight, Sibley, Smith, Hourihane and Tommo. If we were to sign a CM, it would be to replace one of them, I would hope it would be someone who excels at one end of the pitch - either a midfield enforcer, or a goal machine. Holmes is neither.

I agree it's stupid but they sing the same about Cashin too (no matter how it originated) so how is it racial stereotyping? Just unoriginal

This is the thing between the top managers and managers at our level. Klopp took over Liverpool and adapted his tactics to their squad, then slowly over time built a squad that fit what he wanted to do. Warne (who I do like btw) has come in and tried to fit our players into his system, creating a whole round pegs in square holes issue.

Collins either can play, or it will be one of his suspended games. I'm fairly sure it's the former and he will play in this game.

It's worth saying that Hourihane had success at Barnsley early in his career who weren't a footballing side. McGoldrick under Wilder at Shef Utd. I think NML and Barkhuizen are reasonably direct players anyway. Knight has shown his adaptability in many ways. I therefore think our better attacking players will be able to adapt. Could mean Bird leaving though I suspect

So DC bought the club on the basis that it was s*** or bust this season with autos as the only available option (7 points away with a mere 37 games to go) Really?

Absolutely agree. Complete change in any style that the players are getting used to. Felt this may be an era of more stability given everything that's happened over recent years.
Roseniors been quick to mention top two and promotion in several interviews, even if he was given that as an objective, surely it's too early to decide that it's unachievable. Pretty sure he wouldn't have seen this coming judging from his reaction after Saturday.

Just as we were keeping quiet and out of media attention BOOM ammo for the football world to start hating on us again, not saying we should just settle for a year of not pushing for promotion but we need to get some sort of stability, keep spending low and not fall back into what we've been doing for years.

I expected the frustration... very much so!
I expected the "time to gel" scenario.  And the "excuses" re strangers meeting for the first time/inexperienced coach etc.
All the coulda/shoulda/woulda's have come as absolutely no surprise.
The way the performances on the pitch have gone... particularly away... we could arguably be in the top two as we stand... "If Only"!... so again, no surprise there!  Classic Derby!
Outside the PO's on GD?  To be honest, that's 4 or 5 places higher than I realistically expected.  6th/7th was more my expectations for the Christmas period, as the gelling started to take shape, with hopes of "pushing on" from New Year onwards.  Being gullible, those hopes have just been brought forward a tad.  I'd say we are "Ahead of schedule", so certainly happy, but short of delighted.
At this stage, it's a thumbs up from me.  ??

On Forest attendances to be fair, due to segregation they haven’t had over 30000 for years, 29,500 is probably the most they’ve had, if the away end doesn’t sell out then will get a few 28,500 attendances. It’s the same as PP being 33,567, yet I think our max attendance is 32,600.

Doesn’t excuse their s**** support though, see the we are behind you no matter what banner has been replaced (because Bournemouth proved its not true) with that rebel s***. Only has atmosphere for the big games, ones where they turn up expecting to roll teams over and don’t they boo them off the pitch. Fair weather plastics!
Seem to recall in our 11 point season the fans didn’t boo the team once until Reading scored their 4th goal on the last day and the crowd rightly turned saying “you’re not fit to wear the shirt”. Sky Sports awarded us fans of the year. Proper support.
