    Thanks for this appreciated.
However still failing to see why hes a bad owner to have in comparison to what we just had.  He didnt put the club into administration and he hasnt drawn up a huge debt that makes the club nearly unsellable?
He has kept you in the top tier and now made a profit in selling you to billionaires who have the financial power to put you at the top.
If he buys us hes buying us to make profit so to make profit in this broken football pyramid you need to get to the premier league.
I dont usually comment on mirror speculation because thats all it is and its a garbage newspaper but since you kindly took your time to tell us his downfalls i felt a reply of how i see it was warranted.

Donnay, Lillywhites, Lonsdale, Carlton, Dunlop, Slazenger, Karrimor, Campri, No Fear, Kangol, Firetrap and House of Fraser all businesses/brands on their last legs that he's purchased.
He knows the stature of Derby and the current market price due to administration and he seems to love a good bail out.
Added by the fact he now has no football club (the biggest sport in the country) for his sport brand, he'd be silly to at least not look at the books, if he's willing to progress further after seeing them remains to be seen but based on his track record it would be very unlike him to not even enquire about Derby in it's current state.

You know what this might be good, problem is the toon think they should be winning the Prem because they came close 20 years ago, if he could achieve a fraction at Derby what he did for Newcastle (a stable mid-table Premier League club) he would be considered one of our greatest ever owners.

I guess MMs counter argument would be, would you still be paying your electricity bill on time if you lost your job and had no income?
I think the most annoying thing about this is that MM has said this is all purely down to Covid which lost us £20m income. Well if that's true why is he supposedly leaving us with £60m of debt and not £20m?

all this communication, I'm not sure if administrators are obligated to provide information or how much but I'm enjoying the transparency and long may it continue.
I'm not used to this, after years of either no communication or "political" communication as in they talk but give us an no answers and/or information.

Or the administrators could maybe say you won the amortisation case because Derby didn't have an accountant expert to defend it. We are accountants so you try it again and see how far it gets you.

right at the end it was obvious the extra, extra time wasn't helping them score so the ref had to get involved.

In retrospect Steve should be applauded for what he has done for Derby County and I wasn’t always his biggest advocate.
Missing out against QPR at Wembley was cruel and we didn’t deserve it.

I have defended Mel Morris simply on the grounds that 95% of what has been going on has been hidden from us as fans.
It’s super easy to criticise people when you don’t have all the facts to hand.
I thought a personal investment of £200 million to try and get us back in the top flight deserved a bit of leeway.
I also found people doubting his fandom a bit pathetic to be honest.
He’s run this club poorly, but spending big bucks on players, offering high wages and moving on from managers who have big contracts is not the sign on a man who doesn’t desperately want success for his club.
For those of you who remember Maxwell, that was far worse in certain respects because he didn’t give a rats ass about Derby. Tthough time softens the memory and we always think the problems we’re experiencing now have never been so bad.
Nobody gets caught in a violent thunderstorm and goes home saying, that was the 7th worst thunderstorm I’ve ever experienced, it’s always the worst.
So I was prepared to sit on my hands and wait.
But his treatment of Rooney and the fact he never told him about administration means my fence-sitting days are over because that was despicable and I’m happy he’s effectively gone.

Having said that, I really hope Derby fans don’t hate on the guy. No matter how badly he’s handled this, I have no doubt his intentions were good for the club and the city. He was just not very good at running a football club and then couldn’t manage failure.
I’m not worried about going down and I hope if/when we do Rooney stays and we build some stability around a good crop of youngsters. And obviously, we take the red dogs with us.
As has been said before, to those of you not old enough to remember, we had a LOT of fun in the old third division days under Arfa.
Wolves went through administration and have done ok and Leicester seemed to have struggled on.
It seems all doom and gloom, but this will build a siege mentality with the club and us fans and we could end up thinking it was a good thing to start afresh.

Morris' biggest failing is that he is a fan. He ran the club like a fan.
Didn't think rationally. Gambled on short-term success based on in-the-moment excitement.
My old man is usually a fairly logical and reasonable person, but he's unbearable when we lose. Or win. We lose, and he will pipe out the "this is the worst Derby side I have ever seen" line almost every time, win, and we're going up.
Pretty confident that if you gave my Dad a half a billion quid, he'd also have spaffed £200m, stormed into the dressing room on several occasions, and probably would have sacked Steve Mac another four times just to make sure.
This does not exonerate Morris. His lack of leadership in crisis will rightly draw a lot of criticism. He may be bowing out, but to do so with such a reluctance to admit mistakes or show any vulnerability or emotion to the fans and staff it's what's getting people upset.
Morris ran the club like a fan who was determined to play the game as he wished it to be, not the way it actually was.
