Oddly I was discussing this with the old man the other day
I don't think he's dipped as such - He's just being asked to become a more 'grown up' player
When he burst on to the scene he was lively, intriguing and a bit magic - But mostly floated around doing whatever he wanted - More than Hughes ever did he drifted in and out of the game - Yes, you got those moments of magic but he wasn't as involved in the rest of play
Now, that's great when you have a team around you capable of supporting that - But this season we haven't and Rooney has show that he values every player contributing to every element on attack and (more importantly) defence - I think that's something which Sibley is working hard to address and getting used to - Much the same as Jozwiak it's an element which detracts from their natural game but will benefit them (and us) in the long run
I think give it another year under Rooney (and Macca?) and we could slot Sibley into a deeper number 8 (ish) role like Hughes used to play and he'll be a proper all round central midfielder

Bloody hell man, give Rooney a chance. There is only so much a man can do with the average players at pur disposal. Even Frank would struggle.
Let's not forget it took the so called super Frank two seconds to jump ship and join Chelsea. He could have waited, learned his trade at Derby and that Chelski job would have been there in the future at the rate at which they go through coaches.
I for one would not want him back.

Reading up on him the last few days, the 24 year old Colin doesn’t seem half the man or player we have on our hands now. From spats and homophobic controversies and being a bit part player, he seems to have really matured to be a fantastic influence on and off the pitch. So all in all, I think we’re actually getting his prime, just a late one. I get the sentiment of longevity, but hopefully a lot to offer still on the next 18 months.

You ask this in the Ex Rams section? I imagine the answer to your question is something along the lines of; "He is an Ex Ram and this is where we discuss what has been happening to Ex Rams. If you aren't interested in what Ex Ram Mason Bennett has been doing, then you have the option of not opening the thread and reading another part of the forum instead".  That's what I'd imagine anyway.

Rotherham have lost three from three and Wednesday have lost three from three in the past week. Both are currently on a run of five defeats from six.
The results against Huddersfield and Forest were huge for our cause and everything else is going our way. Am I supposed to ignore that in a bid to push a previous point?
Do I think our work is done? No. We need to get to 50 points or more, as I’ve said. We still have to be wary as March and April will be tough, as I’ve said. But we are certainly in a better position than we were a week ago - it would be pig headed for me not to acknowledge that.
Do I think things can change quickly and we can be under pressure again? Absolutely. But what’s wrong with enjoying a positive weekend of results?

I dont at all doubt that it's not great but to spread fake news is damaging to both the club and mel.and I'm sorry but I wont just sit and let things be said that are untrue.this club has had more than enough of it's bad headlines over the years and more so this last 18months. Dont get me wrong some of it it's own doing so I'm not excusing that. Now days across the whole world fake news is destroying everything we have built and I'm just sick of it.there used to be a time when the news was the truth now it's all about dividing us instead of bringing us together.
Sorry rant over.was nothing against you mate just me having an overall mardy moment.

Why do people keep saying that about the groundsman its absolute rubbish.the groundsman have worked nearly all year round but due to the short turn around in seasons and some very poor weather they have struggled to get it back to good health

I actually don't think we're as far away as some of you might think.
Rooney has shown a lot of promise so far, he has managed to get a group of average individuals who looked clueless and lethargic into a genuine team that fights for 90 minutes every single game. He has a great footballing brain, he seems tactically astute and has the staff around him to get even better.
Rooney has turned this club around in a matter of weeks and has instilled a winning mentality into the group. On paper, we have a mid table team at the minute. But look at the results and manner of performances since Rooney took charge. The unity is there, the grit is there, the work ethic is there. The only thing lacking is just a bit of quality.
Sort the mess out off the pitch, get contracts sorted out, give him better players to add to this group and I honestly believe we will challenge next season.

Disagree. Fine margins in this league.
No doubt the squad needs work, but this gradual progression rubbish winds me up. It’s hard to build gradually in this league, failure to go up in a year or two means your best players bugger off. Add 3-4 right players, confidence high, big work ethic, togetherness, unity, strength, power,  anything can happen.

Martin could flick it round corners with his first touch, for teammates to run into.
If he had to hold it up, he was very good at winning a free kick.
CKR isn't on the same level when it comes to the one touch stuff, although possibly he's not had the chance to show it, but he's streets ahead at bringing the ball under control then releasing the pass.
Different skill-sets, different players, different systems, but it's beyond argument that Colin suits us better at this moment.
It's not either/or, just different players suit different systems.
    Surely deserves another year?

My point being that if we did take something from this game then the pressure to get something out of the next 2 then diminishes somewhat. And also makes the assumption that we will do that which isn't a gimme either.
We're in the business of accumulating points just like all the other teams in our position so every game should be seen as an opportunity to do exactly that.

Tbh, weve won 5 out of the last 6 & third on current form only bettered by watford and brentford. Since Rooney has taken charge we have seen a massive upturn in performances and results. Yes there will be the odd blip that's football but it's obvious we are on the up.
We were slipping down places when teams were winning their games in hand (like qpr tonight) but that won't last as they catch up their games.
It's not a time to be over confident I agree but if we keep playing and picking up the points like we have done since he became manager then I cannot see how we will go down.

I am somewhat amazed that Wayne said that he is happy with his squad. Wayne was only able to ship a few out and bring in five loans. He has not complained about anything, he just gets on with it. This is remarkable to me considering his ultra successful background. He knows what he wants and how to get it. It will be very interesting to see how he lines up and plays against Watford.
