Well, like you, I attend most games. I quite like to hear the little snippets about people's experiences at the game, what they thought of the referee, that chance for Gayle at the end ( was it really a chance? It hasn't had a mention on here).
Why should I avoid this thread?  Mods need to do their job and delete all the off-topic stuff or move it to the Warne thread, which I can easily avoid.

Does every matchday thread when we don't win have to deteriorate into the same tired debate about Warne? There's a thread for that.

    a) Attending football matches is not compulsory. If you don’t enjoy it, perhaps try doing something else on a Saturday afternoon. I promise you, you won’t be missed.
    b) This is utter nonsense. We are second in the League. Any fan who works as part of a team that is second best out of 24 is not losing their job. They are probably getting a large bonus. The job of the players is to get us promotion. They may or may not achieve it, but they are on track so far.
    c) May I ask what you were expecting for this season?? Win most games 5-0 and cruise to promotion?? We have only been promoted automatically once in the last 37 years, and now we have a great chance to make it twice. Two more away wins would make this our best away season ever. 20 more points from the last 12 games would make this our best season in modern times (in terms of total points and points per game since 3 points for a win; I’m not equating it to winning the entire League). We may not achieve that but goodness me, if this is the most negative you’ve ever been then I don’t know what to tell you. But it’s definitely a you problem, not the problem of the current players, manager and owner.

Warne will inevitably get pelters for formation etc etc but the fact of it is we couldn't string 2 passes together for the majority of that game, we were shocking in possession that's on the players.

Glad to see Ed is back. His commentary isn't for me as he simply couldn't accurately describe the game. I'd watch the highlights and they rarely reflected what I heard on the radio. However, despite me not being a fan of his work, he must have gone through a horrible time. He clearly cares about the club and wants to see it flourish. He's a part of the derby county community and we should all wish him well on his return.

I never really understood all the negativity myself. Personally I quite like to have the contrast on local radio of someone a bit more 'heart on sleeve', particularly if they are alongside someone a bit more analytical. For my tastes there is enough dry analysis of football these days from stat-grinders talking about XG or whatever so on local radio in particular I'm happy to hear a few instinctive and occasionally emotional comments and opinions as that is a much better fit for the game that I personally am following.
I definitely don't always agree with him but then that's not the point of his style I guess. He's a bit like that bloke at the pub after you drop in for a pint after the game. Sometimes you'll find yourself nodding to his comments and others you'll think nah, that's way too harsh on player X because player Y has constantly left him exposed by offering no cover.

It seems indisputable that he once played for Barnsley.  Fair do's.  Worth a shrug and a moan of it's own accord, even in an official (club) capacity.
I'm not sure however, that there is any actual record of him being biased against us... or that he "has form"... other than the equally biased views of Rams fans?
I take it DCFC have never made an official complaint against him?
I'd dare to suggest that a professional outfit such as Derby County (The Rams) Ltd would do well NOT to be "all over this".  That would just reek of amateurism, sour grapes, and come across as being very "Un-Mr Clowes"!  As a club, we're better than that!
Hey!  I'm all for us fans slagging him off on here.  That's part of our remit!  I'm happy to add my own name to the catcalls, and claims of Bamfordistic tendencies.  I stand with you, brothers and sisters.
But I wouldn't like to see my football club getting involved.
If there's room for official complaint post game, then that's a whole different ball game.  The club could then go for the throat, as far as I'm concerned.

Utch, as I pointed-out in my earlier post, when Covid struck, the government guaranteed the TOC's (Train Operating Companies) income, by paying them a set amount, with ALL the money from ticket sales now going directly to the government instead of the TOC.
So the TOC's don't give a feck whether the train has one passenger or is packed, they get the same either way, thus have absolutely ZERO incentive to put on extra carriages.
Privatise the profits and nationalise the losses. Covid has made a few Tory donors extremely wealthy via varoius routes.
Another bugbear of mine is the term 'customer', it's just marketing bullcarp, we're passengers FFS. 😡

They don’t have extra carriages, that’s the problem with privatisation. They get paid regardless of crap service or not.  The operators/investor's even get paid when the staff are out on strike.
We need it back in public ownership and then capacity can be expanded.
Regarding Footie Specials, if the idiots on the white powder can behave themselves then it would be a welcome return.  There’s a lot of older stock being replaced soon on the EMR so maybe thought could be put into keeping some for that?
But, again, there’s probably nowhere to store the extra trains at the moment as infrastructure has been cut right back.
I think at least one political party has vowed to nationalise them again.

Exactly this.  Warne and the players got pelters in the reverse fixture for not being able to cope with their style.  So on Saturday he sets us up to counteract it.  Going way back, everyone was up in arms with McClaren for having no plan B and only having one formation, now we have a boss who can set up in many ways, with whatever players he has at his disposal, and is still able to win games, yet still gets abuse from some quarters.  The bloke can't win...

I think the EFL will consider this carefully and think about whether a similar size club, such as Morecambe, could reasonably afford his wages and base their decision on that.

It was the same at Exeter away in midweek.
I guess people feel shielded by being in a crowd, but some of the chants and behaviour was just completely unnecessary and I am not sure what people get out of it.
A bit of shock value, a bit of laughter, I guess.
People were more interested in baiting a steward than watching the game. I just don’t get it.

In recent games Sibley has shown great ability at left back and done well in midfield. Great to see his  increased maturity and his eradication of the reckless fouls which were such a feature  of his play,  regularly costing us dangerous free kicks. He 's an important squad member and deserves a new contract.

I certainly don't carry a torch for Warne, but I think he's a decent guy who cares about his players. I also like the fact that he's a little eccentric, and the fact that he never disrespects the opposition, even if they deserve it. He has nothing to prove to anyone in respect of his credentials as a manager capable of getting a team promoted from League 1, but he clearly has not yet proved himself at Championship level. I think though if he got us promoted he would deserve the opportunity to try to establish us at the higher level.
His football doesn't have me perpetually jumping out of my seat, but neither do I find it often boring. If he had us playing like this in mid-lower table, I'd question his right to see out his contract for sure, but he has us for the time being in the automatic promotion positions with a better than even chance of going up, one way or another, and that after suffering a pretty heavy injury list all season.
That's why I will often challenge (or even ridicule - I acknowledge that) posters who I think have posted abuse, or nonsense, about him, because I think it's unfair - and I utterly abhor unfairness in all walks of life.

I’ve watched the game back in full again and have somewhat changed my mind about things. At the time i thought the team selection was dire and the first half was far from a classic. But looking back now u can see that it really was a battle of attrition and that during that first half it was essential that we just dug in, held our own and gave us good as we got. Which we did and great credit to the lads for that 👏
It’s amazing sometimes how, when the pressure is off and the passion has died down, one can see the game more clearly . That was the case with this one for me.
i came away so proud of the team and can better appreciate what PW did and why. At the time i really didn’t see how much we were pushing after the Smith substitution. So, credit to PW and the fans (who were brilliant).

That'll just lead to the kind of echo chambers we see in wider social media - people just agreeing with like minded people & progressively getting more extreme in their opinions & more intolerant of opposite views. We're a football club, a mass of people with one shared ambition.
Reality is there are less than 5 posters I can think of across both sides who look to troll - best to block them if they're upsetting you so much. To close your mind off to well argued contrarian opinion is always a mistake IMO. I am adamant that Warne isn't the right long term manager for Derby but I'll be damned if I can't express my short term joy at results with fellow Rams (some of whom are very supportive of him) & discuss differences of opinion in terms of his long term suitability. It may be there are points that I haven't considered that other posters are using to justify their faith in Warne - recently read some comparing to Klopp & his record in German football which was interesting to read (even if I don't particularly agree)
You've never going to avoid opinions you don't like at the game itself either so don't see the value in restricting it here.
