Imagine being a Barnsley fan though. Wait, no, I don’t have to imagine, I’m a Derby fan, that kind of heartache is pretty normal. One day you’re top of the world, the next you’re smashed 5-1 by Lincoln. Standard.

You but who's done it since then?
    Literally nobody.
Not a single manager in over an hour now.

God that’s awful, that would make anyone feel sick. I’m not sure we should be posting this on Daniel’s page. Don’t want to upset him as we need his continued support to get us up.

Cocu was the right Manager at the wrong time. Everything was stacked against him from day one. Very decent guy too.

Ah, what a splendid affair it was. If ever Pimms were to host a League 1 day, it would assuredly resemble the festivities witnessed amidst the resplendent performance of the Rams. Oh, the gallant display put forth by the chaps, supported by a throng of bouncing enthusiasts whose fervour knew no bounds!
Picture it, if you will: The Wardrobe, that bastion of attacking fortitude, held steadfastly in its flat-packed splendour, masterfully overseen by the indomitable trio of Cashin, Nelson, and the towering arm waving Sonny Bradley.
And oh, the ecstasy that swept through the air as Gayle, Barkhuizen, and Waghorn graced the pitch with their sublime prowess, each goal a symphony of skill and finesse.
Yet, one cannot help but chuckle at the missed opportunity of young Waghorn, whose errant shot surely would have found the net had it been left to my Charleston partner, deftly balancing a cocktail in her hand.
Ah, but such is the whimsy of fate! Nevertheless, the Rams ascend once more to the lofty heights of second place, a sight to behold indeed! And let us not forget the jolly good fellow, Warne, bedecked in his bobble hat, whose indomitable spirit endured despite a trying week of illness and the untimely tribulation of Bird and his muscular woes. Verily, it was a day to be remembered, a tonic for the soul amidst the tumult of life’s endeavors.

Should I feel a little guilt that I wished them to score one so I could get my first correct score of the season in the ‘Prediction League’…….I know one goal could be the difference end of season but am I not allowed my moment of glory?

Frankly anyone who can’t enjoy this football, who can’t see how effective it is, can’t admire the fast passing, can’t be impressed by the commitment, can’t see our quality, and insists on calling it “get it out to the wing and cross it” …. well where do you get your joy in life?
Yes we were under the cosh a bit at 2:0 up, but for every missed chance they had, we had one too.
    Fantastic result.

Poor formation for an away day breakfast plate imho; sausage should be between the defensive beans and rotated to prevent the midfield scrambled egg being encumbered with defensive duties. Egg should be deployed further forward and ahead of the hash-browns, with the mushrooms out wide but given license to cut in and play as a number 10. Really don’t believe the combination of fried & scrambled eggs ever works; they’re just too similar. At least one of the slices of toast should’ve been given a starting position to give added structure to the team, supporting the bacon which appears somewhat isolated and awkwardly placed in the way of the hashbrowns. Bizarrely part of the beans seem to currently be deployed as a wing-back…I can’t see that working at all. I’m liking the look of the fresh orange on the bench but not sure it’s got enough in the tank to last the whole 90 minutes. Just don’t think that line-up is going to cut the mustard today. Really need the lad Brown on there too, just to spice it up a bit.

Here we go again. Accounts just come out showing our losses but we want media training for our players!
Louie will have had exactly the same training as Bird and Cashin, both of whom are articulate and calm when interviewed.
Louie is obviously not comfortable in front of the camera and just says obviously instead of er.... it's hardly a biggie, is it?
P.S. Has anybody noticed how many times Richie Barker used the same word in his interview? Co-incidence?
    Obviously!

But we should do - compare DC and MM that is - because they are both in exactly the same position financially, albeit that the actual amounts are different.
When push comes to shove our outgoings exceed our incomings. We therefore need DC to find ways of filling in the monetary gap, for all his talk of sustainability. Exactly the same with MM. The difference, at the moment, is that DC is (unlike MM latterly) showing every sign of trying to control our outgoings and is prepared to fill the financial gap. It was MM refusing to continue to fill the financial gap that led to administration.  There’s nothing, other than our current confidence in a new owner, that says that that situation cannot repeat itself.
That same concern applies, or should do, to the vast majority of football clubs in this country, Premier league or Efl,  which is one of the reasons that the epl and efl are belatedly challenging the financial performances of a number of clubs.
DC saved my, our, football club. He’s clearly a fan; he’s clearly brought about a degree of financial control that was lacking; he’s clearly prepared to, for the time being at least, fill in the financial gaps.  But for all we might not want to believe it now, that could change.  It’s a situation that absolutely demands a large degree of patience from us when we cannot afford a young, dynamic striker/defender/midfielder that’s effectively a short term financial gamble however much we fans might want him.

What I found most interesting  - and worrying in a way - was his apparent powerlessness about the possible transfer: ‘you realise you have no control over it (the transfer)’; ‘it’s all above my head’
I probably changed jobs about 12 times in my career. On 3 occasions I was headhunted. Every time I moved it was because I decided it was right for me and my family, and when I had a family they were always involved in the decision.  Cash always seems to me to be someone with his head screwed on and I would hate to think that the decision wasn’t his to make, that he didn’t have control over his future and his career, just as when he decided to extend his contract.

Perhaps football is just different; perhaps players still don’t have quite as much power as we think despite Bosman and agents. I don’t want him to leave but I do hope that if and when he does it is his choice and no one elses even if clubs and agents are part of the process.

Looking forward to the trip. It was at this match last year that I found myself sitting next to B4 for the first time, although I was too shy to tell him I knew who he was! Ultimately it was because of him that I started posting after years of reading, as I wanted to pay my respects. So here's to B4, thanks for getting me involved, and if you can, three points would go down nicely.

The best result would have been if they'd both lost but due to the vendetta against us, the EFL would never allow that
