OK, anyone else been refreshing this thread today in the hope that some real news would be announced?
When will I ever learn??!!

Matchday 4 – Tuesday 24th August 1971 & another short visit, this time to Highfield Road, Coventry
First game of the season for Roy McFarland here but the Rams did well to get out of Cov with a point, going behind twice (first Coventry goal shown in photo). Goals from John O’Hare & Frank Wignall on 86 mins secured a draw.

I am calling Derby fans to arms we need pp really really rocking let's make it a wall of noise let's have a sea of black and white flags scafs  and balloons but also if flag man can let's have our Derby flags surfing around pp.
I know if we supporters make pp sound like 60k inside of it. I know the louder we are the better lads will play but also let's have forest shaking with fear and fear in there faces I win on saturday will really help get us near top 6 places I know so early in the season but need to keep this run going.

My first post, so please be gentle!
 I've not been able to get to a match this season following an operation, (I know, bad timing ?), and had to listen to radio Derby for my Rams fix.
 I have to say, while nothing matches the match-day feeling, the enthusiasm of the crowd is fantastic! Even when I felt fed up and a little low immediately after the operation, I could listen in and dream of being there. It must really lift the players knowing that there's so many behind them.
 When I'm back on my feet in a few weeks, (I hope), I'm off to Pride Park to enjoy it in the first person, standing up of course because I hate Forest!
 

Very pleased for him, he is growing nicely into the role of our #1 keeper. 
The criticism of him was at times over the top.

A man who often gets a lot of poo thrown at him. He’s been brilliant so far this season, especially today.

Just think we had people wanting Colin in as manager. Horrible brand of football if you can even call it that..might prove difficult to break down but imagine watching that garbage all season..

9 years old and my old man took us with a Foxes supporting friend supplying the tickets, spent the game behind the advertising boards on the pitch side in the Leicester Fans. Derby Fans were all along the opposite touchline circa 8000'ish All the noise from the Lad's on a local day out. Second only to Championship day in 1975

Matchday 3 – Saturday 21st August 1971 & our first away trip of the season, down the road to newly promoted upstarts Leicester City.
35,640 crammed into Filbert Street to see the mighty Rams win 2-0 with second half goals from Alan Hinton (penalty) & Kevin Hector. Couple of names of interest in the Leicester team – 22 year old Peter Shilton in net & David Nish, who joined Derby the following August for a British transfer record fee.
