2tups reacted to Inverurie Ram in Level Playing Field for Derby County
We really do have a wonderful Pride Park for all supporters and staff and we all ask for and deserve a Level Playing Field for us all.
Derby County are supporting Weeks of Action.

2tups got a reaction from Inverurie Ram in Our own song (yes this again)
He introduced this on the Aberdeen BBC radio in the mid 80s as ‘a brother’s sadness at the end of his sister’s lesbian love affair’. The DJ, Nicky Campbell, went very quiet.
New Half Man Half Biscuit album out on Friday, it’s sure to be good. And here’s to hoping we’re swerving the checkatrade next year. Or is that the Paint Pot now ?

2tups reacted to Addingham Ram in What defines Derby County?
This.
I left Derby 30 odd years ago, but wherever I go, and whoever I meet, as soon as they find out I'm a Derby fan, they want to talk football. Not of the Premier League, the Champions League, or the faceless millionaires that play for the big clubs, but of the old days at the BBG, of Brian Clough, THAT season in the Premier League, THAT play off match vs Leeds, Wayne Rooney as a Manager, and why 30k turn up to a relegation fight against Peterborough!
People like us because we are unfashionable, we aren't glamorous, we just love our team, and our city.

2tups reacted to Crewton in Nottingham Forest Match-day Thread Saturday 22nd January 12.30
Forest used 5 loan players today - one of whom signed this month - and also had one new signing in the starting XI. Derby have no loan signings, no new signings and have just lost 3 regular first-team players and 2 young occasional squad players. It's pretty remarkable that we made it a fairly even game which swung on major slices of luck, bad refereeing decisions and, to be fair, 2 good finishes from them.
I thought that Rooney's selections in the end didn't work and we got a bit sloppy chasing the game, but I don't feel particularly annoyed about the result because it could have gone the other way.
Fingers crossed now that Rooney stays and matters off the pitch take a step forward this week.

Hoping I can speak for the majority of fans when I say the following:
Whoever in their right mind is willing to even consider buying a football club in a poor state, never mind the state that Melvyn Morris left us in, earns my respect completely.
Whether it be the Binnie family, whether it be Appleby and co. Whether it will be Mike Ashley, or whoever else, Thank you.
Thank you for wanting to turn this football club around, get us out the pooper, and allowing us to continue to be a football club.
Whoever takes over, I hope they understand that they will be supported by one of the greatest fanbases in England (And yes, that may be biased, although the support we have shown for this club, throughout the poo that we’ve been through, is genuinely surreal).
I hope that whoever it is who buys us, understands how much this football club means to it’s staff, it’s fans, and it’s local community, and I hope that whatever may happen, that we will have our Derby County to enjoy, to allow us to take our minds out of reality, to allow us that safe space away from demons one may face in the real world, to allow us to be able to rally together, have a bloody good laugh and a good time, and to ultimately support this fantastic, amazing, bloody stressful club.
Come On You Rams. Let’s make ourselves known these next two games, let’s show the world what Derby COUNTY is all about, and what an honour it would be for anyone to own a football club with such appreciative and passionate supporters.

How come this reads like another ticking off from the EFL?
They are so keen to keep pointing out that they have done nothing wrong, that it makes me think they MUST be hiding something!
I also disagree with the EFL that taking a view on the Middlesbrough and Wycombe claims is not acting in the best interests of the "72". If they don't take a view on this, they are going to be dealing with dozens more claims in the future as football turns into a legal free-for-all.
Why don't they just ask all 72 clubs to vote on whether they're happy for clubs to be suing each other in this way? They'd lose 70-2!

2tups reacted to Duracell in Steve Gibson trying to liquidate Derby
I think you can just stop there.
I remember the sucker punch of the 2014 playoff final. It hurt not just because of what happened in the 90 minutes, or Keogh's mistake, or Zamora's finish, but because we were a sensibly-run club living within our means against a team of over-paid and over-priced players clearly there to pick up a pay packet. It really, truly felt like the 'wrong' team won, and QPR were effectively rewarded for cheating.
At no point did I ever want QPR to be liquidated, threatened with expulsion, or relegated to the third tier. My gripe was never with QPR fans, and for the crimes of Tony Fernandes, I wouldn't want a community to lose its club, Loftus Road to become derelict, or see 140 years of history turn to dust just because of the immorality of a handful of board members who happened to be at the club at the time.
It's not worth engaging with any Boro or Wycombe fan who cannot see that; those that want the scene of the crime punished rather than the criminals themselves aren't true football fans. They are prepared for an entire community to suffer as the fall guys and girls just to make themselves feel better about their own club's shortcomings. There is nothing you can do or say to change their mind, it's already made up.

Sat here in bits again. My dad is really really ill and his bad days seem to coincide with bad news Derby days. He is Derby through and through and I'm not sure he understands or is aware of the off the field stuff now but I know later watching those goals on Quest with him how he will light up as little else makes him do now. That is why we have to save our club. It is not about amortisation, stadium sales, law suits, points deductions, etc. it is about watching those goals with my dementia-ridden dad and seeing his happiness for a few minutes later knowing we're off the bottom. The wonder of dementia is he will have forgotten tomorrow so we can do it all again several times. So duck the EFL, Morris, Gibson and the nobody chancer from Wycombe. We are better people than all of you and how dare you threaten the existence of our Derby family.
