I know what it is and it’s very much my point that any system style of play takes time and  can look honking , with the greatest respect I’ve been watching derby over 50 years and seen us play all types of styles under many many managers , keep ball bores me senseless, it’s just posh time wasting, give me toe to toe open games all day long ,I don’t drive a 6 hour round trip to fall asleep watching one of those pre game warm up pass it round routines for 90 minutes

"David McGoldrick and Haydon Roberts had both seen enough and weren't persuaded to stay."
McGoldrick has chosen to return to his first club and Roberts to sign for a club at a higher level and your comment "seen enough" has no evidence to support it.

Absurd to judge on this bonkers game.
    Early injury to Rooney
    Handball in their pen ignored
We put the ball in the net yet have to score via a penalty
Smith foul - was it outside the area?
Why didn't the lino flag for Wildsmith  handling outside the area and subsequent red card, yet the ref makes the decision after speaking to him
Foul on Bradley in their pen ignored
Bolton defender handling in their pen ignored
Not that Warne doesn't have questions to answer over some of his decisions, but the worst thing is having to wait 2 weeks to be able to start to put things right

But he had a solid career as a professional footballer and has had success in his managerial career. Just feels unnecessarily disrespectful tbh.

With a 3 goal lead, an away team will often lose the second half. A late consolation goal is nothing to justify moistening one's underwear. Get real!

I think the manner in which we are playing football suits Waghorn, probably in the same way it suited Didzy.
Waghorn may have returned to us realising, now he’s older, he can not longer rely on his pace. Waghorn appears to be using his experience and skill to offset his previous pace/physical presence he now has a more considered/tactical approach to his game.
He is still no slouch but appears to understand he needs to manage his busts of pace.
So far I like this new Waghorn long may it continue.

Oh dear. This post just ooozes of pettiness and sour grapes.
Why even use the word "dick"? Any valid points you may have had are instantly diluted by using a classless comment.
I don't read any posters rubbing your nose in it after we win as you quote, you and others don't like Warne and that's your prerogative but why don't you show just a little humility when we do win.
It doesn't take much honestly. Try it sometime. You may like it.

It does not help to ignore the actual 2nd game of the season, especially when the first half display provoked such an audible critical reaction.
Warne will be given plenty of time, deservedly so, but today it would help if some of his new signings displayed why they were signed.

I think we are in a really good place.
Warne is building the squad in his image. He has been backed and his vision has been backed but in a sensible way that won’t endanger the club’s future.
Of course there is still work to be done and of course we have to see how it translates on the pitch but the signs look good to me.
Are we clear favourites for promotion? No. Are we guaranteed to succeed? No. Is there grounds for optimism? Absolutely. Can we judge Warne from here on in? No question.
With each passing day, this looks more and more like a Warne team. He is bringing in the characters, the leaders, the grafters, the example-setters that he wants.
Top six looks like a fair target and expectation at the moment, because there is a nagging feeling that something is missing for top 2.
I am confident of a positive season. We only look two or three forward players away from being a team no-one will want to face.

Having had a season ticket in the early 1970s, yes!
DCFC have zero chance of another European Cup semi-final whilst I am drawing breath.
But since then there have been some great times, most recently the 2021/22 season when we saw on the pitch a totally commited squad and off it a united community fighting to ensure the club survived. Being in the Premier League is not the be all and end all for me so I continue to be a season ticket holder, not least as we have the best owner for many years
