From an article in The Athletic:
"Saturday’s opening Championship fixture against Huddersfield Town will mark the first competitive game where Jozwiak will experience with fans. He makes no secret that he enjoys playing with an intensity and, at times, a little on the edge. He is very much looking forward to a packed Pride Park for extra motivation. And he hopes to inspire a chant.

“I heard that in England fans have songs for certain players they like. But in Poland, we don’t really have that. I don’t know if the Derby fans have one for me or not. But if I could get one, that would be OK. I missed them last season. Sometimes it felt like a friendly. I thrive off the crowd.

“In Lech, I played in front of a lot of fans. I saw at Derby (on TV) that the fans are also very good and Krystian also told me how great they are. So I know the fans will fight with us.

“When you do a good thing and they react you get additional energy. After the game against Sheffield Wednesday, I was trying to drive home and I couldn’t get out of the car park because all the fans came down to support us. Not every place in the world is like that. Sometimes fans only support you when you are in a good position. That was very helpful for us.”

Ha Ha, but he did know how to enjoy himself on a Saturday night.

Got to love some of the strategic thinkers on here.
Were massively short of attacking players. Hmmm let’s sell one who carries a goal threat because we can spend it on someone better! Double yay!!
Except we can’t can we? We can’t even use it to supplement a better wage offer to free agents.
Actually we’ve weakened ourself. Made relegation even more likely. And can’t effect any positive change to the squad.

Born and bred in Derby and lifelong Rams fan following in the footsteps of my dad. Moved to Doncaster in 1991 for work and marriage where both my sons were born - both of whom have been brought up properly as Rams fans although my youngest had a University placement over at the dark side whilst in Nottingham. Owned up to being a Ram in his interview and was still successful ??.

Harsh.  Yes, he’s clearly made mistakes but they were made trying to get us to the Premier League.  There were some who voiced concerns when he was spending big but the majority did the opposite. Many of the spending mistakes came from the managers in place at the time - if the players were right then we may have been promoted (yes, I know Mel made the appointments).  Mel gambled without a doubt and we are suffering big style now but his intentions for the club were that of a supporter.  He needs to fix the mess and I’m sure that’s what he’s trying to do

Not surprisingly support increases when a team is doing well, just remember the heady days of 2014 when Pride Park was filled to the rafters...."Since I was young" bouncing off the roof.......
Ironically we are in a hole, the polar opposite situation and I suppose many supporters will...."stop supporting"
 
As a fan base, have we got the metal and love for the RAMS that the club is going to need over the next year or two. We often talk of our fantastic support, well we'll see. I rather suspect it will turn out not to be as solid or loyal as we often believe.

So, a young guy who made a mistake, had lost a parent and was out with the team captain has no chance of redemption.? 
he was fit to play, fit to fulfill his contract, got his head down, was contrite, scored a few goals and got on with it. 
 
OK, for me Curtis has Captain written in his DNA but just maybe this is what it takes to lift Tom to another level ? 
I’m all for giving him a chance.
