Things are looking up, I lasted 75 mins tonight…. against Blackpool I was gone before HT… yeah I know the club doesn’t need “fans” like me but I’d rather be sat at home with my Y fronts on, half a pint of Skol watching Porky’s II.

I nearly gave up, to be honest!  Plenty of repeats of the reveal vid, but struggled to find the written bit!
It was only your assertion that it was in there that kept me going.  I just knew you wouldn't lie!  🤣

Personally, I'm waiting to see the Bottle Green in person.  It may be my first replica in a good few years, if it gets the reaction I suspect it will... subject to still being able to purchase non-sponsored versions, of course.  Me no likey big in-yer-face logos etc (Nothing against the specific sponsor, I hasten to add), and much preferring something a little more discreet!

For instance, today, I am wearing this beauty, for my man-about-town joint shopping adventures, and associated marital duties! 🙄

*Pic provided seeing as I was on the shop website anyway!  I'm not in the habit of photographing my daily attire!  🤣

    Thanks for the messages, everyone!
Alice & her family actually aren’t football fans at all, but I’m slowly indoctrinating them. The three nieces & nephew's are all getting Derby kits for their next birthdays!

Got to the game hugely early as per and milled around the player entrance to people watch a bit.
Was chatting with a Burton fan who hadn't managed to secure a ticket due to a bit of a hard luck story. While we were talking the Burton manager came out and personally game him a complimentary ticket so he could see the game. A very nice touch and have now developed a soft spot for the Brewers. Must toughen up.

Collins' best performance in a Derby shirt, Bird looked a different player and important players getting on the score sheet. Can't ask for much more than that.
The biggest thing for me was that Warne was able to change the game with whatever he said at half time. We were second best but could have score 5 or 6 in the end.
Not getting carried away, Burton may well go down this season, but it's so nice to feel positive post match.

I was one on this forum against having Warne as the Manager when Rosenior got elbowed out the door. I'm not going to state we could have done better with Liam, that we will never know. My biggest moan was forum members were all bleating on about his 3 promotions with Rotherham, but failed to mention the 2 relegations. They had a team that basically were good enough to compete at the top end of League one but got found out in the Championship.
Now that Warne's been a manager for approx 6 years and seems to have one style of play (3 at the back with wingbacks), it looks like other coaches know how to beat it. When Warne first took over at Derby, with the squad he inherited he could not play 3 CB's and played more often with 4 at the back. We shot up the league, looked odds on to finish easily in the top 4 positions. Then he tinkered with the team and we finished 7th.
I for one, was gobsmacked that he was appointed with a 4 year contract, getting rid now or later this season will cost the club (financially). I will still follow and support the team and hope we do get promotion come the end of the season, but this manager needs to have a plan B when his high press energy game with 3 CB's is'nt working in certain games.

Very important to progress in the cup to integrate the team, get everyone fit and give a means, for those not starting, to keep fit and push for a place. Giving us competition for starting berths...

Very disappointing today. We were playing 3 centre half’s but it looked like we were playing one!
Ward’s delivery was excellent overall whilst Forsyth was our most dangerous player and could easily have had a hat trick !
Which says a lot - I thought Nelson was poor and his distribution was slow and inaccurate, Bradley was largely ineffective and obviously cost us a goal against whilst Cashin was backpedaling against their centre forward from goal kicks in a one on one situation frequently which was just Bizarre.
Our midfield was massively missing Jason Knight winning the football and obviously we missed McGoldrick winning headers and controlling a football - I am not going to blame Collins for being Collins but we lack pace all over the pitch.
seriously lots of room to improve but we looked easy to play against.
pet hate, could we please have someone showing for ball from throw ins.
Wigan tried to play football so credit to them.

I’m not sure today was as calamitous as some are making out; there were periods of the game where we moved the ball well and after we scored it looked like we were the only team who would go on to win it. Forsyth’s miss after his goal was one of those marginal pivotal moments that can change games as at 2-1 up I’d like to think we’d go on to win.
However, there were also some genuine concerns. Defensively we looked very uncertain, while predictably up front there was no danger. Collins did some decent work 30 yards out but in the box he just doesn’t look a threat, very flat footed and stationary, easy to get ahead or mark.
Ward barely got over the half way line in the first half, but was much better second. Yet we don’t play through the middle so if our only tactic is to give it to the wing back then it’s not going to be that hard to play against us. Likewise it was just cross, cross, cross, and vast majority were easily dealt with. Tactically, we don’t look very sophisticated.

I think it's a mistake to hold these back until other tickets are sold. Late deciders might well be reluctant to sit close to the away fans, whereas some Derby fans might very much enjoy the prospect and buy these tickets early, allowing others to buy late and still sit further away.

Is it his displeasure/reactions to the hate (due to fake accusations) and disgusting things consistently said about him?

I rather suspect he didn’t actually try to lamp him but just squared up to him as players often do on the pitch.
Regarding the “pensioner” I don’t think he was some poor innocent old man but rather he probably tried to goad Sharp with some rather provocative comment.
I don’t think it would be a marriage made in heaven if Sharp did join us but, in his defence, he has had to take some carp from an element of our support. It’s bad enough when unsavoury chants are aimed at him from a crowd but it’s a whole lot worse when it’s an individual shouting something as he’s trying to board the team coach (I assume that is the incident folk are referring to).

At this level there is no such thing as a guaranteed 20+ goals a season, its difficult to get that at every level.
Nobody last summer thought McGoldrick would get 20+ goals & most would have thought if a player did it would have been Collins who is on our books still & has hit 20+ goals at this level.
For context, last season only 3 players got 20+ league goals in the Prem & in the Champ then 5 in League 1.

Well I can see that I'm getting through to nobody..🤣. It really does matter what we do.  And it's not about influencing China and the US, of course they will do what they like, but all the countries you've left out still account for a large percentage of global emissions. All country's contributions matter, some more than others, but they all matter. You say countries act in their own self interest, that's certainly true, but the point is it is in every country's self-interest to act and to transition to a Green Economy as soon as possible, for all the reason listed numerous times on this thread and more, most notably to combat global climate change, political and energy security, cleaner air, healthier environments.  It literally couldn't be more in each countries, and their citizens, interest to become sustainable economies as soon as possible.  It's the fossil fuel industry whose interest the transition will not suit
I don't quite buy your comparison. We are not sure of the details of what will happen in the future regarding climate change and it's consequences but we have a pretty good picture.  We know that we are increasing the quantity of GHG in the atmosphere, and we know for a fact that this will warm up that planet, as that's what they always do. We know that a warming atmosphere and warming seas will cause the ice caps to melt and sea levels to rise all around the world and we know that warmer atmospheres will carry more water, and therefore storms are likely to be more intense. In other words, our knowledge is already sufficient to know what we need to know, that is we should try everything to reduce the effects of climate change as much as we possibly can.

I actually think Chrissy would still do a decent job in League One. Can hold up the ball, brings others into play and knows where the back of the net is. Surely would be a welcome addition looking at our current options.

I can understand the frustrations of peoples opinions on re signing CM, however he is the best striker we have had at the club in the last 20 years, maybe even 30. He deserves a bit of respect.
