As of right now - WRONG!!!
It’s looking much more likely to be right than wrong

I’ve heard:
Warne wants a full rebuild in midfield. Knight, Bird and Hourihane to be sold for funds.
McGoldrick doesn’t want to renew. Will go to Notts County if they’re promoted.
We want to sign Wes Harding and Josh Vickers (backup GK) from Rotherham.
Well that’s one right

Summer is going swimmingly then, McGoldrick off to Notts County and Roberts not signing.
Can't beat a good old fasioned Derby County transfer window 😆
Can’t wait for our usual deadline day needing about 5 signings and ending up with Ikechi Anya

I've just had a look on the Wyscout database for players who have played in CM/AM in League One this season and looked at a few parameters
Successful defensive actions per 90 minutes - 7.44 - 107 out of 255.
Defensive duels won - 64.41% - 60 out of 255
Successful attacking actions per 90 minutes - 2.91 - 56 out of 255.
Attacking duels won - 47.86 - 49 out of 255.
Forward passes per 90 - 13.12 - 54 out of 255.
Accurate Forward passes - 62.55 - 103 out of 255.
Shot Assists per 90 - 0.77 - 100 out of 255.
Smart passes per 90 - 0.33 - 112 out of 255.
Passes into the final third - 7.05 - 45 out of 255.
Progressive passes per 90 - 6.59 - 61 out of 255.
Accurate progressive passes per 90 - 71.25 - 111 out of 255.It shows a fairly steady, balanced League One midfielder without context. With context, it shows an international player who struggled to really have an impact in the third tier of English football.
When you compare it to his season in the Championship, it actually shows that he was able to take advantage of the drop in quality to have more of an impact but definitely not remotely close to what he should've done.
Successful defensive actions per 90 minutes - 6.36 - 140 out of 236
Defensive duels won - 55.08% - 160 out of 236
Successful attacking actions per 90 minutes - 3.18 - 52 out of 236
Attacking duels won - 52.02 - 18 out of 236
Forward passes per 90 - 7.33 - 163 out of 236
Accurate Forward passes - 64.05 - 135 out of 236
Shot Assists per 90 - 0.58 - 121 out of 236
Smart passes per 90 - 0.45 - 124 out of 236
Passes into the final third - 3.42 - 155 out of 236
Progressive passes per 90 - 3.55 - 167 out of 236
Accurate progressive passes per 90 - 71.25 - 122 out of 236For me that shows… he’s not actually that good. Was very disappointed with him last season. And even more disappointed in him now as I can only imagine it was him who told Kenny something about a move. Hasn’t wanted to be here for a while in my view so he can take his leave.

Derby lad. Appears to know a few I went to school with judging by his instagram. I might hear something if this is legitimate.

Wasn’t Darren Wassall basically just a puppet for Mel anyway? Is he actually any good? Despite all the investment we haven’t had much real quality come out the academy.
-
Made my day that has.
Every Coventry fan I’ve ever met has been a complete cockwomble, and I think they were the first to start the “party when Derby die” chant last season - despite all their problems.
Luton have been to absolute hell and back, much like us - they deserve this so much. Congrats.

Paul Warne

Would like Ebiowei back on loan - wonder if he could be converted to a wing back? Seemed to struggle in the Championship so may he to drop down a level, but Warne should love him given how quick he runs.

That interview with Marinakis was very Mel like. Basically gave himself credit for their survival. And admitted he considered replacing Cooper but couldn’t find anyone better at the time.
There’s still hope for a f*** up with him as owner. Cooper is a genius so I hope he ends up leaving at some point. Still can’t believe Mel vetoed him coming here. Bellend.

That was a Derby level collapse over the last few weeks. Weaker than a mocktail

Hard to tell until we’ve seen the recruitment. I still hold concerns we’re going to struggle to persuade good players to play for Warne.
If we do recruit well though, then there’s no excuses. There werent last season either. Warne must deliver.

Convinced the football gods hate us. When will the pain end.
Leeds better go down. There must be some consolation.

Glad I caught this thread. I’d booked a golf trip to Tenerife but I’ve cancelled it now and bought a tent to put up at Markeaton pitch and putt

take it with a pinch of salt but i have heard freddie ladapos name mentioned
not sure how we would afford it though
Would make sense given our continued need for strikers, and his history with Warne at Rotherham.
Maybe not all that unrealistic either. Ipswich might want him off the books now they’ve been promoted, and he’s 30 so no spring chicken. I’d think anything over half a million might tempt them.

I wouldn't be hugely surprised if Knight and Bird go, but Hourihane would be strange. I wouldn't have thought he would command much of a fee these days, and would be better to keep around.
McGoldrick one I find a little unbelievable.
You’d maybe get something like 750k, but I agree, it’s not a lot. But he’s a footballer, Warne may want to replace him with a runner.

Think the deals can be made now, just official registration. If is the case would imagine agents talking already to other clubs.
Hourihane and mcgoldrick must’ve been over 50% of our goals last season. Lot to replace. Doubt Collins is seen as a first choice either.
Well yes, technically talks can happen any time if the club gives permission. But the window isn’t open.
Indeed, I’d be very concerned if we did lose both of them. Collins up front is a recipe for League Two

Would think if those four leaving it would start happening quickly, you’re almost replacing the whole team if that’s the case.
love mcgoldrick but we probably have one more season tops with him. Has to be replaced at some point.
We’d be wanting cash for Bird, Knight and Hourihane, so that won’t happen for a month or so yet. We’d need to have our targets to replace them lined up and ready to go though, as you say there’d be a lot of work to do 8n a short space of time.
I imagine we’ll get a decision from McGoldrick sooner. Every season could be his last now, so I can understand why he wants to think carefully about it.

The one post I saw on here suggested McGoldrick was hoping we'd get promoted and doesn't like playing in so many competitions. Can't see why dropping a division fixes that
Contrasting information clearly - who knows which (if either) is correct. I’d imagine the justification for dropping a division may be that Warne has told him he’ll be rotated more next season, whereas he still wants to be the main man somewhere. Going to the club he supports would seem ideal if that’s the case. Pure guesswork on my part for the reasoning though.

He ain’t gonna stay. I’d be getting away from a club where the balls gonna be punted over my head all season ASAP. No wonder he’s taking such a pay cut
