I just don’t see the Kirchner fit. It makes no sense at all.
His openness shows his naivety. Fans are fickle and who do you think they’ll be tweeting every time we loses a game. It won’t be Rooney? or Cook?they’ll go straight to the top and before long CK will get fed up trying to  respond to gobby Rams or Red Dog micky takers.
This twitter lark is a pretty stupid thing to be doing in my opinion.

He is a pensioner, he played in an age where even top footballers didn't earn much so he is probably earning a bit to help get by. He wouldn't have been a postman for years if playing football had left him wealthy. Pisses me off that there are players today making millions who are not fit to clean his boots.

I guess sooner or later a case like this is inevitable. There are many millions at stake and clubs are basically just flouting the rules.
Not sure how the authorities can prevent member clubs from suing each other - they can put it in their rules, but then those rules could be subject to legal challenge too.
In our case my main objection was that there was no talk about suing us until after we'd gone into administration, and even then it wasn't formal legal action but simply a claim that they were creditors who might take formal legal action if they didn't get satisfaction from the EFL. It was basically a way of holding a stricken club to ransom by preventing a quick sale. And the EFL went along with it.
It would be very hard to prove damages in a court case, of course, but it feels like we will end up with one at some point and if nothing else that might give clarity, and/or force proper restructuring, oversight and enforcement of the rules.

I can’t be bothered to go today. Or anymore for that matter. Football is lost to me.
We anxiously wait for some rich person to bail us out. These person/persons have a plan involving making money. But no interest in Derby. At least Mel had a dream. He followed it and so did we. We could have made it. But didn’t.
But make what exactly? Joining a league of Rich men’s playthings.

Billionaires are queuing up to buy Chelsea. Sky are more interested in a subscription from someone in South Korea than a season ticket holder in Southampton.

That's where I'm at with football at least, fallen out of love with it, too much money involved, the clubs in the right place at the right time have become too powerful since Sky, the VAR crap, the constant changing of rules like offside (if you are on the frigging pitch you are active and have an effect on the play - end of!) Handball or not, is it an unnatural position etc so a shot 15 yrds out going for row Z hits an arm above the head as the defender is getting it out of the way for a goal bound shot is deemed a handball and penalty..... but a goal bound effort that hits the elbow isn't so long as the player is moving naturally..... Should be simple, did the defence gain an advantage resulting from it hitting the arm, I think it was Stimac got penalised once for hitting his arm when it was tight across his chest, so the ball would have hit his chest if the arm wasn't there.....
Only good thing in recent times is goal line technology,  although I do remember that not picking up a valid goal in the 1st Yr, Villa was it?
Finally, social media, keyboard warriors spouting so much vitriol or fake news that causes shocking reactions and has now, IMO, with the availability of drugs, led to increasing violence and bad behaviour at games.

Will. Quite simply he should not have started any action. Derby have done little different from many Championship clubs, including Boro, who will, without a shadow of a doubt had clever accountants at various times using loopholes to avoid penalties. Boro have also had a considerable advantage over many other clubs via their parachute payments from time to time. This goes with the game, any set of rules and with life in general. Small clubs with small crowds have been at an even bigger disadvantage than either of us. Not only is the action laughable from its imaginary fantasy football outcome it is thoroughly dirty. It’s the late tackle out of the refs view after a bit of earlier hand bags. It’s a disgrace and so vindictively unsporting it beggars belief. Added to that Morris has made an offer to meet him in court with impartial judges rather than the EFL where Mr Gibson seems to have a distinctly unfair level of influence. If he is so self righteous and saintly then why hasn’t he withdrawn his action and issued court proceedings ? Or alternatively sue the governing body who were responsible for the rules, the policing of those rules, the penalties under those rules and the timing ?

@BoroWill- the reason your owner is seen as the villain of the piece is because he is.  Not because of his views of Mel Morris and not because of his previous views and comments of our club's profligate spending - you will find many/most Rams fans (no doubt some late to the party) who agree with him on both counts - but because he is and has been for many months deliberately making it impossible for us to move to new ownership without us slugging him a considerable amount of money (anything between £7m and £45m) for a perceived competitive gain, when even your own fans believe that your failure to gain a play off place that season was largely down to Pulis and a sporting/player/results failure on your part.
We have been roundly punished by the EFL's processes for our financial splurge; we have spent the vast majority of the last 3/4 seasons under a transfer embargo; we've had 9 players leave this transfer window alone, most against their will; we're down to the bare bones from a squad perspective; we're likely to get relegated despite the fantastic effort that the players are putting in to avoid that happening.  Is not all that and more, punishment enough?
Yet, for your owner, this is personal.  He doesn't care that the club, our club, is suffering, that good people are out of work, that a fan base is suffering. The proof of that is that he is continuing with a claim that is at its very, very best, purely speculative.  If he relaxed his claim we could, probably, get new owners in place, sort out creditors, be relegated and under EFL control for two more years but at least move on.  He won't let us because he doesn't like Mel Morris and wants to see Mel Morris suffer. And that is it pure and simple, and that is why he is, whatever your protestations to the contrary, the villain of this piece.  It's time for him to show some leadership, move on and concentrate on his own club.

I have sent another email to the EFL, despite taking yesterday off it’s hard not to let it play on your mind, the more it plays on your mind the more you start to see the bigger picture here and what the EFL mean when they talk about the best interests of the league….
Boro tried to sue the EFL first, Parry confirmed this himself on the Athletic podcast, why did Boro stop those proceedings?
It’s in the EFL’s best interests that Boro are successful in their case against us, why?
If Boro were to win a legal case against the EFL, where would compensation be paid from? The EFL’s only revenue stream is TV deal, so it would come out the pockets of the clubs, understandable why there is so much silence from other clubs on this.
(Sidenote, we all know that once this is over they will all unanimously vote in new rules that cannot be argued and prevent any kind of legal action.)
If the EFL enforced their own regulations and prevented this action (reg 4.4), or followed insolvency law by ruling they were not football creditors would Boro turn their attentions back on the EFL instead?
When you read the EFL’s “disappointment” when we was cleared on the stadium sale, it’s easy to see why that disappointment would be, found guilty it would have opened the door for Boro to easily claim compensation.
If Derby were to be liquidated, Boro wouldn’t receive a penny of what they believe they are owed, again not a great outcome for the EFL, so what is their best option?…..Try to push Derby into a financial settlement with Boro.
The problem with that is the administrators will simply refuse, their job is to get the best deal for it’s creditors, paying off unproven claims out the creditor pot just isn’t an option for Quantuma despite how much the EFL try to push this.
    Clear as day right?
Mel’s offer of taking the legal action on himself is an alternative escape route, one of which the EFL must be desperate to take up now, but can they convince Boro and Wycombe to take this on?
Given we were cleared on the stadium deal, despite the “independent” valuation from the EFL putting Pride Park on par with Fleetwood Towns ground, it’s difficult to see how they could win the case in the high court, especially when Sheffield Wednesday, Reading and Villa all sold their stadiums as well.
Final interesting point, Boro beat Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough at the beginning of the season, yet Wednesday went up to the Riverside and beat them 1-0…..a Sheffield Wednesday team that were clearly financially advantaged by selling their stadium right? You could argue those 3 points cost Boro their place in the play offs yet no legal action…..why?
    Personal vendetta.

Spot on, this isn't a knee jerk reaction, I've been calling out the game of football for what it is for a long time.
I still enjoy going to watch The Rams but its more about a day out than the football.
I turn up to matches not knowing who we are playing, and quite often know nothing or very little about the opposition.
I'd miss The Rams and nothing could replace the feeling of when we score but the game of football in general is something I've not liked for a long time.
For me it sums things up when we've got distraught fans thinking of crowd funding and scraping around for funds to make sure we can still afford to pay our millionaire players.
Maybe Derby being liquidated would wake a few people up to how appalling the state of the game is but I very much doubt it.

Shredding what's left of the squad for pocket money would surely not get us to the end of the season anyway. In any case, what does it solve ? More time to endure a stalemate while the people who can actually do anything about this shltshow posture and prevaricate. Kicking the can down the road a bit doesn't fix anything because decisions are usually only made when the clock is about to start chiming midnight. Make midnight 3 am and everyone sits down again and checks their phones while we wait. Extending the funding to see if we can shake off this travesty of Boro and WW 'football debt' is fine but after that ? I don't really see that extra time helps much.
