This - Remarkable the number of people opining on financial matters without actually understanding what these numbers mean. Some fans need to lower their expectations, Stearman would be decent in league 1. If he stands by us, we should appreciate the  bloke and stand with him. Going into this season on the back foot, with new players to come in and gel, staying up and competing is our primary goal. Anything else would be a bonus.

On the GK suggestions - are any of these good with the ball at their feet? One of my favourite aspects of how we played last season was Allsop playing a high line and his distribution. I know a few people hated us playing that way and would welcome a return to solid shot stopping and playing the percentages but I thought after a bedding in period this was one of the more successful aspects of the Rooney era.

Definitely not. He was one of the worst CBs in the air during the 20/21 season. I can only imagine how bad he'd do in L1, especially after a year without football.

Some of the Motorhead are signed by the remaining members so be early for that one. I know Rough Trade have some but there are only a few. I used to love it but find over the last few years there's more quantity than quality.  How much stuff could T-Rex and The Doors do in 5 years.

It will take us a lot longer than it did rangers, the english leagues are a lot harder than the scottish leagues, i just cant believe people think its going to be so easy to start again and get back to where we are now.

Wayne's 40 players comment included the academy and especially the under 23s. I suspect that he hadn’t given the actual figure too much thought but he’s going to have to sign, or re-sign, 19 players just to get to a first team squad of 25 presuming all those still contracted want to stay. We will probably never find out what the agreed business plan will be and Wassall probably makes most of the academy decisions but whatever division we are in someone is going to have to make the largest number of signings in a single window since transfer windows began. Probably.

I find it very difficult to see what the admin are actually doing. They have had three credible bidders/interested parties since November/December. The legal claims have been there since the beginning. We are now into the beginning of Feb?! MM has even offered to get rid of the big obstacle that was in there way. After reading the q&a they (imo) alluded to more obstacles they can use to ramp up their remuneration.
They have said in the past they are willing to work night and day to get this through but so far all I can see is hot air and not a lot of substance. It is still my opinion that MM is still pulling the strings in this whole situation. Hence why Steve Gibson is so hell bent on suing us.
