That was a top goal from morrison
-
Typical Derby county
-
Always looks like he'd invite a foul just the way he runs so direct at defenders where he just powers on
-
ebosele looks a proper athlete. Like him looks to run at defenders with power and pace. Think he frightens defenders

Two academy lads teaming up for the goal. Maybe mel morris has a point in playing a team of academy lads ?♂️?
-
Good goal by hutch, unlucky sibley
-
One think that really annoys me is that we commit silly little fouls on players that are going nowhere just inside our own half and it gives the opposition the opportunity to fire it into our area from a set piece which we know we are poor at defending
-
Ive just had £20 in play at 12-1 be rolling in the Benjamin's come full time when we bring the big guns on ???
-
We'll this one might get silly

Good start ?♂️ good to see we're sticking with zonal marking after it worked so well last season

Happy to see some new faces start and get some game time & players that can't get a start like sibley get one tonight
Hoping for a win though. We havent won a competitive game in what seems like years

Dave is hardly in a win win situation here.
I'm glad he went & i don't blame him. We'd all go given half the chance. Were all nosey enough to want to know whats going on. Its like a drama series supporting Derby
If he didn't go he'd be getting abuse by some helmets on here for not finding out whats going on. Also he doesn't post min by min live updates from the fans Forum with mel he also gets tagged in posts & people demand updates thinking he's mels yes man paid in sausage sandwiches
Its good that the forum have a representative that can attend. Its not daves fault if can or can't post updates. Its the clubs.
Personally I'm not bothered if the updates never get posted on here. Its a bloody good forum & i enjoy coming on here. If stuff can't be said then so be it & protecting the forum from liable is the main thing ?
Honestly some of the stick david gets on here i wouldn't blame him for packing the forum in. Doesn't deserve it. Imagine running a forum for fans to enjoy, vent after games and lock horns over different opinions from signings to tactics. Then for the pleasure get some stick

My dad had issues trying get peterboro tickets it took over an hour and dad tried 3 different devices.
Honestly id have given up after about 2mins. Credit to your dad but i have zero patience with stuff like that & im sure many other fans feel the same

Is it still one ticket per one fan ID meaning you've got to set up your 5 year old a fan ID to buy a ticket for them ?♂️
Id go more if it wasn't such a hassle. Just let me log in under one fan id & buy four tickets.

I never understand the manager isnt shouting so doesn't care or doesn't know what he us doing.
People are mistaking quietness for incompetence & loudness for efficiency.
The quiet manager might be the deep thinker, self-aware & rational decision-makers.
Each coach/ manager is different & should be judged by their impact, not their volume

Its mad how Messi is only a year younger than or manager.
Yet messi is getting called out for going to play at PSG. Whereas Rooney has gone bald four times and spends his days, sleeping in the managers office & necking gravy in a club tracksuit

I hope wazza creates a bit of a Siege mentality. He worked under bacon face that did it at united. Everyone else hates us & wants to beat us so its us against everyone else.
If you think cocu had a bad hand wayne has had it worse. Towards the end last season he frustrated me and i wanted him out. However he is learning. His job was to keep us up and he did that. I do like the fact he wants to stick around. New season & for me its fresh start for wayne. Willing to give him a go & my support (unless we lose 5 on the bounce then i'll want him out ?)

what's the point in having an academy if the players are mothballed as opposed to bringing them through?
Some will sink, others will swim.
Not all players come through an academy are going to make it. Some are there to make up numbers for the academy squad so we can put out a team. Throwing them all in isn't right isnt right
Some players develop faster than others, some burst onto the scene & can play every game, some need bedding in, some are ready at 18 years old some don't develop until they're 22 - 23 year old. Thats both physically and mentally
It isn't about chucking them in and seeing if they sink or swim. You could chuck someone in & they sink but they could have well swam with the right guidance and bedding in.
We're reliant on throwing in too many academy products in one hit. Some aren't ready for a 46 game season & it'll be damaging to their development
It also shouldn't be morris' decision that academy players are ready. He employs far more qualified people than him to decide what is best for our team.
Im not saying mothball youngsters i just dont think its fair to throw 18 year olds in to match day squads potentially before they are ready

I do wonder if he fills the board & senior positions of his businesses with 50% of first year university graduates ?♂️
I dont think its fair to throw a load of youngsters into a relegation fight.
We have a mix of young players that were good enough straight away to play like buchanan & knight some that will Need to be bedded slowly and some that will be players but not at this level. We cant expect to through them all in
Have we actually considered the development and welfare of some of our fringe youngsters by expecting them to just be launched in to championship football

Just watched Salfords first goal again. We'd stand a better chance if joz started on the back post. We had nobody at all on the back post. Its easier to come forward off the post to head one away than stand where joz is not knowing whats going in behind him. Really is basics. We need to work on someone taking charge on the pitch of defending set pieces
