  1. So when the world cup is on sky tv will be showing a triangle of matches - Derby county vs Sheffield  wendsday Sunderland vs Derby Sheffield Wednesday vs Sunderland

with more fans there than most games in the championship all season

  2. So then we have been Bullied into accepting this that much is clear ( the administrators)

I believe we had a very good case in regards to the administration appeal and the EFL knew it and wanted it not to go ahead as other clubs would follow.

the EFL have threatened not to sort everything out and wanted to continue to strangle the club

the EFL wanted to show others that they could strangle the sporting life out of a football club and enhance the lack of sporting integrity in the league - what complete poo show

  3. We should sell Lawrence Belick and Jozwiak in January without question for what ever we can get

if by a small miracle we can keep knight,Bird,Buchanan and Sibley then we have a future on the pitch that would be interesting to buy a ticket to watch but if they are sold or those that can walk away do walk away then it’s looking like a miserable future and if that happens then there is no point spending £6 million per year on an academy where all the promising ones walk away or are stolen by premiership vultures for relative peanuts. If that happens the whole academy needs shutting down immediately because it’s simply uneconomic.

Fairly certain that it's going to be -21.  My guess is the EFL want DCFC to remain competitive in Ch'ship games for as long as possible. Hence the delay in announcing the additional points deduction which effectively ends our season, giving license for Rooney to pick and choose which games we 'turn up' to.

That’s been my viewpoint at least for half a season so they can say it’s fair to everyone when we turn up with the 15 year olds

I totally agree with your 'assessment ' of the EFL, but I prefer our dignified silence to the way they are behaving.

I am sure what we will eventually hear from the administrators will demonstrate that it wasn't just our former owner who found them overly aggressive and antagonistic.

I want truth and honesty and I am seeing none of that which is a disgraceful way for an organisation to behave.

  6. If the EFL are intent on destroying the competitive football aspect of our season with multiple point deductions and transfer restrictions then if we could I wouldn’t bother to bring in any players at all as it’s just a waste of time and money. so what about integrity of the league as it doesn’t exist anyway.

Now if we were generally wanting to bring someone in who we can keep and might improve us for next season then that’s fine.

we probably shouldn’t be keeping Baldock and Jagielka passed December if we are doomed whilst we obviously will need to sell the out of contract players who we can’t extend contracts for. We should even look to pay up people like Richards as well.
I know that leaves absolutely nothing but that has been the sole aim of the EFL

  7. I am just trying to keep up to date -

we have not been charged with any F&P or have I missed it?
we have an appeal against administration 12 point deduction - which I still believe we have an excellent chance of winning ( probably why EFL don’t want it heard)

MM indicated that using the perceived EFL amortisation method that we were about £4 million overspent

    is this still all correct?

from my point of view I do not want anymore of the EFL cloak and daggers - follow the actual rules ! - charge us - have the cases heard and let everyone see the accusations and arguments - and give us any punishment in full with full reasons.

if we are to be relegated so be it but we should be playing to our agenda

My argument is that the only way this will ever change is through fan power, media and journalists. That's why the European Super League collapsed. Another gripe is that QPRs punishment of £41m, well that ended up getting paid by Parachute Money, so they suffered absolutely nothing and only the Rams did. And where did that money go, same with the fines to Bournemouth and Leicester? Certainly not distributed to the clubs.

    2020/21

    Norwich City, Watford

    Swansea and Bournemouth in Play-offs

    2019/20

    West Brom

Fulham, Cardiff and Swansea in Play-offs

    2018/19

    Norwich City

West Brom and Aston Villa in Play-offs

    2017/18

    Cardiff

Fulham, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough in Play-offs

    2016/17

    Newcastle

    Reading and Fulham in Play-offs

    2015/16

    Burnley

    Hull City in Play-offs

I think QPR end up paying £17 million over ten years

It doesn't seem fair, you're right. Given this massive advantage, why don't all teams that are relegated from the PL get promoted straight away?

    Most do within two seasons

Parachute payments are an easy scapegoat for a problem that barely exists. In the last 8 years (from Mac1 period) an average of one relegated Premier League club has been immediately promoted the following season. It feels like it is more because last year it was 2 and this year may well be two, but that is far too early for this to be a trend.

Theoretically, parachute payments mean higher wage bills and therefore much higher chance of promotion. The reality is that the toxic atmosphere created by relegation seemingly wipes this advantage out.

Fulham centre forward on £100,000 per week which is more than the entire team he is facing every week, doesn’t seem fair or affordable without parachute money.

  11. Well the EFL can actually do something about this and extremely quickly because as we know they make things up as they go along yet they only talk the talk about nasty parachute money.

they could for next season instantly say that any club receiving parachute payments automatically receive a 16 point handicap  deduction at the start of the season - the clubs can either accept the money if they need it or decline it, it’s so simple to do.

  12. If we can’t stay up due to point deductions then why bother bringing in anybody unless we want them permanently and they can move here. We should only play our perceived better team selections against those who we want to annoy the most whilst not bothering in some others in terms of actually winning any points. Parachute payments and point deductions is the only thing that gets talked about in this league anyway.

  13. Just to follow up on all this 12 point deduction and a 9 point deduction and 3 point suspended deduction - I want all my points allocated in full with no deductions because it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever unless the EFL wants to destroy ambition or it’s own product.

the EFL can screw us to the floor because their product is corrupt anyway as they stop business from operating in an ambitious way even when owners have to finances to do so. Football was a fans sport but when the whole talk about the league is about parachute payments and point deductions it’s just corrupt.

  14. Currently out of the country so I have just read this latest none news

have we been charged with anything yet ? -no seems to be the answer - why haven’t we been charged with anything yet ? Is a bigger question and can we see in writing what we have to do and what the EFL should have done. I want to see it all laid out and not hidden in rumour so that blame and possible legal action can be taken by Derby county followers.

    I’m not sure.

You may well be right, I don’t have any evidence to support either way, but I do wonder some times if we’re just suffering from a persecution complex.

Persistent inconsistent decision making by the officials on the pitch every week then ?
