Sibley lost his form in Cocu's second season.

I think Sibley was at his promising best when playing with Chris Martin in the team in terms of feeding off his lay offs, that said we have hardly had a decent centre forward for far to long so that upsets the balance of all the attacking players playing around a goal scorer/ decent centre forward.

Difference is West Ham stayed up directly in place of Sheff u with tevez scoring the all important goal to keep them up.

Boro on the other hand only really have a claim to gate receipts and revenue for the play off semis if even that - they can’t claim they’d have gone up. So they’d be lucky to get a million or so out of us or whatever that would be worth.

Why couldn’t Bristol city claim against us as we beat them and knocked them out of the race and would probably finished above Middlesbrough - the whole claim business is ridiculous

Sam Rush was the highest paid CEO in the championship, and Mel trusted him and his knowledge and experience in football to run the club, sadley he let him down, buying 8 or 10( could be more) sub standard players on 4 or 5 year contracts on £20,000 a week wages make no mistake Mel made a total mess of the club however Rush was not far behind.

Rush players what have they gone on to achieve since leaving Derby?

I blame Rush more than Morris in that Morris was just funding it in the belief that he would at least get his money back on most of them  yet we managed to get nothing back on 90% of them - Rush gave the contracts out

I have never understood their claims.

Surely they should be suing the EFL for not penalizing us earlier?

In a way I would be surprised if the League are happy with the prospect of them actually winning some damaged off us, as it could set a weird precedent.

For example - If you lose a game in a season -  because an opposition player who should have been sent of goes on to to score - and the three points would have got you into the play-offs, would that entitle you to some kind of recompense from that club if it goes up to the Prem?

It would be a disaster for the EFL and the whole of football in the country - then again the owner of Sheffield United sued West Ham United successful for between £5-£10 million over the Tevez affair. The money went into the owners pocket and not Sheffield United.

  5. So if I am understanding this correctly then someone has offered £1 million pounds more to take hold of the club

also the administrators are saying any claims from Middlesbrough and Wycombe are not football creditors but the the EFL are suggesting they are ?
it’s no wonder a deal can’t get sorted.
the behaviour of Middlesbrough and Wycombe is incredulous and Middlesbrough are placing themselves at the top of my do not like list replacing dirty leeds whilst irrelevant Wycombe need to give themselves a slap.

  6. I had to miss the QPR and Blackpool games due to covid and self isolating and no refund on season ticket - now I don’t expect a refund on a season ticket but it does bring into question the value of a season ticket if you are likely to be missing about 6 games a season? I may just contemplate a match by match purchase in these uncertain times in the future and that’s after 40 odd years of having a season ticket.

Might be controversial but I wouldn't be against him going.

We will get a few million in compensation for him leaving and we get his massive wages off the budget. Interim manager until the end of the season and a new manager to start afresh in June, hopefully under new ownership.

Well any compensation we get would go to pay the administrators probably and we don’t actually know what he is actually being paid as manager, it may be a decent amount but it could easily not be whilst that said he is certainly earning it this season.

That’s what I’d like to see formation wise, anyone know what the EFL stance is on us bringing the young lads off the bench if and when needed? I still can’t make sense of the rules they’ve set for us.

If the EFL could give everyone a full explanation of what those rules are and why they have been applied it would be helpful but the basics are you will play every game with both hands tied behind your back whilst wearing a potato sack around your feet on your way to the relegation we so desired.

Cant believe this is still going on .

Keogh is Damn Captain that alone made him have EXTRA responsabilities ,should be sacked was sacked the fact he has won compo is unbelievable and down to Mel mistake of keeping the others .

Lawrence  Should have been sacked for god sake he RAN OFF leaving someone in a car that could have caught fire .

    Bennett      Same as above

Mel - Shocking handling of not sacking them all and has lead to Keogh winning his compo by keeping the younger 2 players . Mel was totally right to sack Keogh but he should have sacked them all .

The whole sorry mess is still a mess and Keogh deserves NOTHING today in the sound of applause .

If we had fined him the six weeks pay that Lawrence and Bennett got we would ultimately saved money - strange world

As there isn't a transfer suggestions thread for January, I'll post here:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgie_Kelly

Georgie Kelly, 25, 6'2", centre-forward, coming off the back of scoring an average of around 2 in 3 games in the League of Ireland Premier Division last season, now out of contract.

Looking at the name I am Just checking this is a male and not a female ( or does this matter anymore? )
