This analogy of "these things will even themselves out" has baffled me for decades...they don't, The better teams appear to get the calls, Home advantage is a big sway in a lot of games, The ones who are at the other end of the table get the rough end of the stick.
I think Coventry and Fulham plus Bournemouth have all been to the school of I am going to fall over at ANY contact whatsoever and they are being rewarded for it and it’s very sad to see week in week out - we are getting nothing because all the press we have received is negative and that seriously impacts the judgements made by officials ( who are employed by the FA not the EFL)
when we make a slight foul it’s an instant yellow card whereas our centre half’s are walking of the pitch every week with blood pouring from head wounds from elbows/ arms etc and some of our opponents have got away with some dreadful stuff

I never calculated it but last season points with Bielik must have been over double of those without him. My hope for this season is that he has even half as much impact as he did last season. He's the only player we've been missing that could possibly transform us.
This season we have better defenders at centre half which helps a lot currently! Who are you considering dropping to put Belick in the side ? He won’t be fully fit for a very long time

Shinnie played in the Blackburn loss too where he was awful. The only truly transformative player we have is Bielik.
We weren’t awful in midfield vs Blackburn we were just run ragged by their 3 forwards in a different part of the pitch because Blackburn put it down the channels

Anyway it’s nice to see another youngster score for Derby

Bit of youth back in the side - good luck lads Ebosele to run at and behind malone who should give a penalty away and get sent off based on every time I watched him ?

Not unless you want to cause offence. The new owners at Newcastle weren't very impressed.
I thought they actually liked it - seriously

Only very tangentially related to this thread, but thought it might be worth a mention:
Huddersfield owner Phil Hodgkinson placed nine of his other companies into administration the other day
https://www.purebusinessgroup.co.uk/index.htmlWorth mentioning all of the George chip shops went into Administration the other day - must be lots of pie salespeople owed money due to the pandemic

Even during Lampard we were reducing costs wage bill down by about £4million I believe but yes after 2018/19 costs came down a lot .. at least those not subsidised by 32 red.
Just to clarify 32 Red increased their sponsorship nothing else

Yes I am fine with that, but my general point is even a successful appeal wont make a jot of difference to the outcome of this season. The money used on it could have saved jobs
What if a very generous supporter had paid for the appeal ?

you really need to pull your head out the sand if you GENUINELY believe we are in this situation because of covid. absolute and utter delusion.
Of course it is - sure 90% of football clubs are sailing very close to the edge of an unrealistic business model most of the time but football isn’t a realistic business model. - you can actually point the finger at the EFL for allowing it for those 90% of clubs if you like but without ambition and hope football is nothing just ask a Bristol city supporter!

I thought for a while now that 352 is the best fit for us, With Festy and Buchannen/Dylan Williams being the attacking wing backs. Stearman or Buchannen/Fozzy as the third central defender. Bird, Shinnie and Knight/Ravel make up the three with Beilik to come back and CKR and Baldock/Stretton up top. Nice balance of youth, experience and commitment.
It’s all workable if everyone is fit and not carrying knocks, needing a rest etc, lack of consistency from some youngsters and so on
we just don’t have enough players for tough games Saturday Wednesday Saturday - that’s the biggest problem

Why the hell is Tom Lawrence club captain?!
Davies, Jagielka, Shinnie... all three would be better choices.
Well Shinnie was the only one under contract at the time would have had him mind as captain - can’t blame Rooney for trying to get more focus out of Lawrence

The fights gone the efforts gone, they gave it ago for a few months but it’s worn off now! Pathetic result
Maybe Barnsley actually played a lot better as well - our limited squad has to score its chances and we seem to hit the woodwork an awful lot especially away from home
-
Well I haven’t watched or listened to the game so all I can say is that this is a very disappointing result especially as we seem to have been winning

Contract extensions are fine. It's only new registrations which would be an issue.
Wouldn’t they count as a new registration if it lapses which it probably will? ( I hope you are correct )

There is no 23 man rule (unless we're trying to register a signing whilst under a hard embargo).
There is if we are wanting to resign Jagielka and Baldock in January as the EFL currently won’t let us

That’s actually a fairly experienced side starting tonight !

Exactly….so he pulled the plug and we went into administration which he knew was going to be the result of him pulling the plug.
At some point it’s either an owner, a finance corporation, or shareholders that pull the plug - it happens and it’s happening all over the economy

I wouldn’t be saying clarke is better than Davies or Jagielka at all but that’s all about opinions
