Maybe he wasn’t telling all of our players to miss easy chances as soon as they stepped out of Derbyshire after all.

If I had to guess I reckon he’d say he felt that largely away performances were okay and we had bouts of bad luck notably against Charlton where Collins and Knight were guilty of missing very good chances, which he can’t control, and against Fleetwood where Cashin and Knight also missed good chances. Plus Lincoln where Barkhuizen missed a sitter and we had two goals questionably chalked off for offside.
Besides if you believe what you read on here we did change our approach v Wycombe and put in a really good performance so maybe he was willing to compromise after all, and maybe that’s all that was needed.
Never mind! I hope he does well at Hull and of course I hope our new manager does well here!

Pratting about with it at the back seems to be a common criticism of the style under Rosenior but I don’t recall us conceding many goals doing it, maybe Cashin trying to control a high ball leading to Plymouth’s winner?
However, under Warne we’ve conceded doing it against Port Vale and Ipswich. Under Rosenior, Wildsmith’s position used to be a decent mitigation for it as he was always high up as an extra option and ready to sweep up if needed, but that was often criticised too. If he’d been higher up against Ipswich their goal would’ve probably been avoided.

I think there’s a common theme under Warne where we are struggling to control games. I don’t really care about conditions or how many men we had, yesterday we made zero attempt to even try and take control. Just aimlessly clearing it and then waiting for them to attack to do the same again. I don’t even mean passing it about, you don’t need to do that to be in control.
It was the same against Port Vale and Morecambe was like a basketball game at times. We have a few good midfielders in the squad but seemingly no intention of giving them the ball very often which is a shame.

Must say I am struggling to work out what the issue is.
Seems pretty obvious that the World Cup should not be happening in Qatar and the human rights issues there are abhorrent. It’s hardly new news but maybe Neville pointing it out might make some more people aware.
But the World Cup is happening there and Neville is a football pundit, probably the best one out there. So of course he’s going to work the World Cup, why would he not?
To me it’s far better to face up to the issues than quietly ignore them. There’s probably going to be 30-40 people, probably even more than that, from this country working the World Cup. If the options are take the dirty dollars and ignore any issues or take the dirty dollars and at least try to highlight them then the latter definitely seems better to me

I'm roughly in agreement with this.
I'm in the it was mistake to appoint him but we have to let this play out now camp.
    It comes down to this...
Almost no one in the squad suits his style of football and we are in an embargo so are limited in the transfer market especially in the Jan window, so I fail to see any scope for major improvement this season.

Yes that’s fine but I’ve previously heard him say that when the winger has the ball he doesn’t want anyone going to help them out with triangles, he wants them in the box.
I heard it picked up by the Sky microphone the other night. Barkhuizen had the ball on the wing, Dobbin went to help him out. I clearly heard him shout something along the lines of Dobbin just letting Barkhuizen cross.
So you can’t do that then moan when the players are leaving wingers isolated. Doesn’t add up.

A post that could have been written, almost word for word save for swapping some names, about Rosenior’s 10 or so games.
In truth I don’t think he is under much pressure at all besides what he puts on himself. He’s about a month into a 4 year contract. But I think his job is more difficult than it needed to be and we are going to need MORE new players which was entirely avoidable.

And if you asked people outside of a matchday thread where things are a bit calmer whether they want Warne sacked then I reckon the vast vast majority would say no, of course not.
I’m more than happy to give him time and support but I don’t see why we need to mitigate any poor performances under him any more than we did Rosenior. Man City under 9’s beat us convincingly at home, it’s going to attract some criticism just like Friday night should where we didn’t lay a glove on a team who’d just been beaten at home by Lincoln. But it doesn’t mean he’s under pressure, I’m confident he’ll be given time, as he should.
The system he wants to play doesn’t suit a few of our players, it’s not his fault but some flexibility would be nice.
