EtoileSportiveDeDerby got a reaction from jono in This run we're on, as good as it is....
There is only one team who looks nailed on top 2 and then has a wobble. We were that team for a few years in the Championship. Then there is one which just make it when no-one saw them coming. That could be us. We just need to keep everyone fit and no silly suspensions.

With RWC 2023 later this year, the 6 Nations comes around with some added spice this year. Now in the post-Eddie Jones era, can England prosper under newly appointed Steve Borthwick? Can the Irish take their Autumn Series form into the 6N and beyond to France? Will the French prove they are the strongest squad out there? Are the Scots doomed to be the nearly men and can Wales find any form at all? Chuck in the Wallabies looking to surge back under, yep, you guessed it, the irrepressible Eddie J and the All Blacks, desperate to re-establish their former dominance, this could be a belter of a year for egg-chaser fans.
Yours truly's long-range guesses:
6 Nations - Ireland
RWC - France
Best of luck to all!

So surprised. A deregulated market now in the hands of greedy large firms. Any other outcome would have been a miracle.
Moving on, nothing to see.

What ideas do you have for those who live abroad, or simply can’t be arsed to leave their sofa unless the temperature is +20 degrees?

Amazing piece of engineering. It has got Google very worried, especially since Microsoft has invested into OpenAI who built it. If the rumours that from March, Microsoft will integrate it into its search engine (Bing) they may have played a blinder there. Incidently ChatGPT was at full capacity this evening. First time I have seen this.

Got to feel for Elon Musk who bailed out of OpenAI early and "invested" in Twiiter instead.
Or may be not

I’m just really pleased that no one has noticed that I’m an AI yet.

Could AI replace moderators?
I mean, AI could interpret forum rules exactly and not have to rely on semi-pished humans with all that in built fallibility, bias and stupidity.
If it went wrong, It couldn't wire a plug as well as @Boycie could though.

In terms of replacements, or therefore lack of, then it would have to be Wildsmith. We lose one of the best goalkeepers in the league to replace him with either an unproven player who received mixed reviews in his last loan spell in League Two or a player/coach - giving me too many Kevin Poole flashbacks (even if Loach has played well in cup games this season).
Cashin I would say has been our best player, though, forming an unlikely but outstanding partnership with Forsyth. He's rated as the best player in League One on WhoScored by their metrics and it's hard to disagree (all things considered).

We're in a great run of form at the moment. We're up to fourth, best defensive record in the league, and the goals are starting to flow.
But, as we know, all it takes is a bit of bad luck, an unexpected sale, or a serious injury, for momentum to slow and results to turn.
So, just for a bit of fun (and hopefully not a precursor to anything ?), who in your opinion is the one player that we simply cannot afford to lose? The one that might affect our results the most.
I'm going to go with Wildsmith. He's made some crucial saves that without doubt have saved us points, and I don't think the confidence that he gives the back four can be understated. A big factor in Fozzy and Cashin's form IMO.

Really fun away day today. Some poor play in the final 10 minutes but I have to say when we turn it on, we're class.
Enjoying watching Derby at the moment

Steady as it comes, reminds me of Carrick (not at that level sadly) a bit. Nothing flash just ticking over week in week out. Good player.

If we keep everybody fit we'll be alright. No need to panic.
My only wish is another wide player to cover NML and Barkhuizen. Dobbin is not quite there yet for me.

Max Bird has hailed Paul Warne's impact on Derby County's squad and says the Rams head coach is making them "fearless".
"We are a close group," he said. "All the senior lads get on with the younger lads and vice versa. There is a lot of banter flying about as there often is when you are on a bit of a roll. I am really enjoying it and the team is looking good.
The manager is very good. He's funny and I can't repeat what he said to me on the pitch at the end of the Barnsley game. It's all good. He's giving us the confidence to play, he's making us fearless and our reactions on the pitch are brilliant in terms of if somebody loses the ball, there is no moaning and everybody is after it.
We are a team, we are together and it makes you want to run through a brick wall for him because he is giving us that freedom and confidence to express ourselves. At the end of the day that's why we are on a bit of a run because he is letting us play football like we are 12 years old."

Warne said recently that he views January signings as panic buying. Or words to that effect. Much rather strengthen in the summer as a rule he said.
Personally I'm not bothered what the others do.
