A 40% cut in the government grant in real terms since 2010 for ALL local authorities. Also not allowed to increase council tax by more than 5% per year. It's (going to be) a national scandal.
But like Utch says, we've got more billionaires than ever.
Currently, the country has a record number of people buying a Porsche..........
.............. and a record number of food banks.

Get in.
To be frank, I couldn't actually care less that we didn't win by 2 goals to go into 2nd. There's 20 games left, the only thing separating us and Peterborough are the fact that they've scored 2 goals more than us. Whether we won 3-2 or 4-2, nothing is decided tonight. We haven't ended a matchday in 2nd place since February 2018 under Rowett, and we still ended up finishing 6th that year.
The most important thing is that we won, I don't care how. That game had a hell of a lot of "you can just see it going wrong" things on the list, I think @Srg listed a fair few before kick-off. Local game, new manager, ex-players, bringing on a striker making his league debut (and scoring 3 minutes in), contentious referee decisions, or lack of them, coming back to bite us. There was the potential for things to go very wrong. And if you watched on Sky, they did their typical thing of putting up stats that completely jinx the game, such as how few goals Burton have scored.
These are the kind of games where we've messed up in the past and it's cost us in the past. From the minute it went to 2-1, we were poor, there's no excuses being made for that, it was a tough watch. But I'd much rather show that we still need a bit of work in January when that work is possible, and still winning at the same time means there's very little damage.
Take the points and carry on, we're a point off top with a game in hand, no matter how we performed tonight that's an excellent place to be. Three games in a week coming up, two of which are away and in the away table we are 1st, so there's a lot to be positive about.
Hopefully CBT can join the ranks before Lincoln, and maybe one or two more before the end of the window and then we'll be well on our way to getting out of this league.
Onwards and upwards, and thank God for Conor Hourihane's left foot.

RIP, Great player.
Won the WC as a player and manager, same as Zagallo who died last week. Deschamp the only one left.

I'll always appreciate the way Rooney conducted himself in that administration season (in public at least), and I don't really begrudge him leaving when he did because it was always going to be a tough sell to him to stay on.
However,
This is very funny. Mostly because it's Birmingham City who in my view are one of the most deluded, bitter, tinpot, nonsense clubs in the footballing pyramid. Permanently trapped in their nearest rivals shadow and utterly deluded as to their standing in the game. A crumbling stadium half full with idiot fans.
So, thank you agent Rooney for the top tier destroy and exit job. Excellent work.

It’s probably been mentioned on here but Wilson looked great today. As did Cashin. Their number 14, Randall looks like a proper player and he linked up well with all his teammates. Derby could do with a midfielder like that.

EtoileSportiveDeDerby reacted to DavesaRam in Derby v Peterborough
Well that was a terrific football match against one of the best teams to come here for years and we got off to a flier!
Peterborough may have very quick players and may be great going forwards, but they struggle against the press. And from kick off we pressed them and scored. Then we stopped pressing! Probably deliberate - with the age if the squad and 3 matches in no time at all we didn’t have the legs to do what we did at Oxford.
Kudos to Paul Warne for changing things early on, and for the earlier than usual substitutions, both things he wouldn’t have done not too long ago!
In the end the best team won, but whether they should have done is another issue altogether. And they were ably assisted by their 12th man and his assistants. Yes DavesaRam has git his old drum out and is going to give it a right good banging. Although Vulcan Ram and Jono started it!
The penalty incident gas been well covered, and given the ease with which Derby players get yellow carded how that wasn’t a second yellow I have no idea. But there were two other penalty shouts in that second half which haven’t had a mention. John Jules was pulled back on the 6 yard box with nothing given, and soon after Thommo was on the floor in the box, and got up to run to the loose ball and was tripped back to the ground and again nothing given. Although things have eased, I was actually surprised that the ref gave the first penalty, given his skewed approach to fairness.
In addition both Wilson and John Jules were shoved to the ground from behind quite heavily and the ref waved “advantage” to the Peterborough man in possession. How can you give advantage to the offending player? And late on John Jules (again) was clearly blocked off just outside the area with nothing given, and we were defending another attack. There was plenty more of his lop-sided approach to justice, so yes this episode of poor refereeing did have an effect on the scoreline. But if we can’t defend simple high crosses, we can’t really complain.
In the end we will have to get over this, use the week off to reset and go again. Although we lost we played a lot better then we were before the good run started so we have improved quite dramatically. And credit to Paul and his staff for enabling that improvement. And there are still more than 20 games to go.
It’s still on, you Rams. We can still do this.
Come On You Rams!

Just adding that since Rooney has come in, no team has picked up fewer points than his Birmingham’s side’s 10 points over the 15 games. Not even bottom side Rotherham who haven’t won an away game in over a year.
Rooney was tasked with getting Birmingham out of the Championship. He is doing a fine job indeed.

Thought the same thing throughout the game. We are a decent side but we need a couple of signings to give everyone a lift.
Nelson deserves all the praise this season, and before anyone takes this out of context I was on the Nelson bandwagon before all of you, but he can have these lapses of being headstrong. He didn’t need to come across, or if you are it’s not about just winning the header it’s about winning the header and making sure it clears the box. But it’s one of them and it happens, I just think there’s maybe been a few instances recently when we have to trust another player and deal with the consequences. Another was when Ward tripped that player for the penalty a few weeks back, when he had Nelson coming across and Wildsmith coming out.
Good game though and a good advert for what this league is. Peterborough very good, thought we had them under control for large parts but they really did their homework. Stretched the midfield and attacked the fullbacks who weren’t given protection. Warne changed it, we looked better and he got his subs right at half time too. But the problem was. it was too early for that gamble and Peterborough took control again and Thompson wasn’t ready for 45 so our midfield became stretched again. Ward needs to pull his finger out or else he’s going to get some backlash because his effect on the game was minimal in what was a good opportunity to really make a statement. But yeah that aside it was a good game and I don’t think you’d complain if either side had come out with a last minute winner. I don’t think it’s the type of game we look back on in May and go ‘we dropped 3 points there’ fortunately our previous two games put us in a decent position going into today so I have no complaints with where we are.
Little thing for those who want penalties to be hit hard at the goal, if it does get saved it’s hard for keepers to control where the ball goes and there’s a good chance it falls straight back to you.
