Thank you B4, it was my brother who was being seen to by paramedics. A flare landed next to us and another DCFC fan tried to put it out by stamping on it,  but by doing that he actually just stamped the blast into by brothers ankle which was like a small explosive landing on it. He didn’t have breathing problems, the paramedics were giving him gas and air for the pain. It was feared that his ankle was fractured but after a trip to hospital he was told it was just badly bruised and swollen thankfully. I just thought I’d let you know that he’s fine now. It was just a bit of a sour note on which was a brilliant day out!
it was nice to have met you, you’re a Derby legend!

What ruined football was the marketing machine.
I think owners have always been the same. But now thanks to the commercial titan that is the Premier League/Champions League the game attracts all kinds of snake oil salesman and billionaire hipsters. As well as naive businessman who think on pitch results can be controlled by practices they implemented in their other ventures
With the Internet and streaming services etc etc football is able to draw in an audience like never before. And in England the Premier League has been packaged and sold to the mainstream audience. To the casual fan.
It's like Boxing. 2 YouTubers fight and the viewing figures are insane. 2 top super lightweights fight for a UK record breaking undisputed title fight and its not even televised in the UK.
The way the Premier League works isn't for the purists. It casts its net over a wider audience and knows the real money doesn't come from match tickets. But it comes from subscriptions, from advertising, from getting bums on seats in living rooms as much as stadiums. It's packaged for TV audiences as an experience.
But it was the Premier League and Sky that forged that path. The rest of football has been playing catch up ever since.
Clubs like Derby are irrelevant. They're an undercard on a boxing show. They're not part of the marketing machine.
Derby can die because they are "protected" by the EFL. A pathetic organisation that can't stand on its own 2 feet, can't protect its clubs and can't offer them a way to compete with the top clubs.
Leicester can't die. They're protected by the Premier League. An organisation that draws money and interest from all the globe. A League that offers clubs everything possible to bounce back even if relegated. A league that will tell the world that Leicester are far far more exciting and interesting than Derby, Forest, Ipswich, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United etc.
And people drink it in. Bournemouth v Fulham or Burnley v Leicester? What's going to sell? Which one is packaged with those legendary pundits, theatrical music and whatever bells and whistles attached.
If you think "I've been going to Derby for 50 years" matters then you're deluded.
You matter if you press the red button on your remote, if you subscribe to watch Gilette offer the closest shave ever, if you're 1m Chinese kids who's views attract 1bn pounds worth of advertising from Chinese companies.
The Premier League setting itself apart was a death and rebirth of football. And we see to a lesser extent the Champions League.
The greed almost reached a new level when the PPV clubs decided they could go off and do it all again without minor inconveniences such as relegation and being kicked by Burnley

dcfc the 1 4me reacted to Day in The Football Creditor rule is explicit, simple, and solves all of Derby's issues
Three parties have made offers, any one of which would allow the club to exit administration with a substantial payment to creditors.
These offers need clarity, that the claim by Boro and the potential claim by Wycombe do not qualify as Football Creditors.
The football creditor rule is not defined in the EFL regulations, it is part of the Articles of Association of the Football League Limited, of which all clubs are minority shareholders (the golden share).
The football creditor rule is in Article 48, which clearly defines what constitutes a football creditor, copied below from Companies House.
The rule clearly states that it is to cover payments of "debts due". How possibly, can an unproven, unquantified claim such as Boro's be consider a debt due?
If the EFL is suggesting that any claim by a football club or employee, which is unproven, should be classified as a football creditor it would create mayhem. And, bona fide football creditors with debts due, and other preferential and unsecured creditors would lose out as a result.
The EFL can't have this both ways. If they choose to say Article 48 does not qualify Boro's claim as a football creditor the EFL are suggesting they might be sued by Boro.
However, if they choose to say that Article 48 should be interpreted (which is a wild stretch) in a way that Boro should be classed as a football creditor then it is almost certain that the EFL would be sued by the Administrators and the creditors including genuine football creditors, and HMRC for their easily quantified losses.
The EFL also risk being sued under section 994 of the companies act for acting prejudicially against the interests of a minority shareholder of the football league ie. DCFC.
We need to apply pressure on the EFL to get off the fence, see that their actions alone are preventing the Administrators from getting a deal agreed.
Article 48 says that Boro's claim cannot be a football creditor and the EFL must state that and stop this nonesense.

I too was at that match and was firstly puzzled at why such a vile chant being  sung,  so I did exactly what you did and Googled it. When this subject came up on the forum after the game and people were asking about Sharps behaviour at the end of the match I stated that I didn’t blame him after hearing that all the way through the match as it was disgusting. I was also at the game on Saturday and although I heard it sung by the usual cretins it seemed to be very short  lived which was a relief as I hate it.
However,  Billy Sharps behaviour at the end when he came down to the Sheffield fans was quite antagonistic, he did a thumbs down to the south stand and mouthed “you’re going down” with a grin on his face. He then walked past Fozzy as he was applauding the fans, and hit him in the nuts!
I am no way defending  the chant, but I think he’s getting to be his own worst enemy. He had a crap game and I think he was more angry with himself than anything else.

It really annoys me that the only interest the national media - Sky especially - have with us is whether Everton will recruit Rooney.
    Premier, Premier, Premier.
One angle they could take about Derby's fight with the EFL is that it could scupper an amazing football miracle - in their efforts to get founder member Derby relegated/liquidated, the EFL breaking the law along the way, they may kill a sports story to go with the best of them.

I was laughed at, and probably still would be for suggesting he's the Championship manager of the season but I stand by it. Nobody comes close.
Name me a manager that with his experience, at this level with the embargos, administration, unpaid wages, you name it, name me a manager that has been able to assemble a squad of freebies and academy players and put this much fight up in the face of a 21 point deduction.
He's doing quite simply an incredible job and deserves every bit of credit that comes his way, throughout all this poo he's been the leader with unbelievable class that has allowed us all to be proud of this club.
Not a manager in the world I would swap him for right now, remember the name, Wayne Rooney, this kid is going to the top.
