Id rather people just left the administrators get on with their job to be honest.
What difference is them providing answers to these questions going to make to the process?
Any negatives answers will play into the hands of any vultures circling around our youngsters, any positive answers will be passed off as spin or lies.
The only thing I want to hear from the administrators is when a deal is done, I dont even need to know who the preferred bidder is, its completely irrelevant to me and the whole process.

Anyone who thinks you'd get full and honest answers from the Administrators in a live Facebook meeting is risibly deluded. They have no idea of how sensitive some of the negotiations are. The sense of entitlement I'm getting from some fans is staggering. The Administrators have no duty to engage with the fans whatsoever, other than in their position as minor individual unsecured creditors. We can argue about which supporters groups are valid or appropriate, but provided they're all being treated equally, I have no issue with how this is being done.

Lies, damn lies and statistics.  Context is all - are Arthur and Jim really only our 11th and 12th best managers?  I think most of us, even those not alive in those days, would have both in our top 4, for what they achieved over a long period of time.
Whatever else our Wayne has done or not done I cannot recall a single Derby manager having to face all the on and off field issues that he has had to face, and not over a short period of time either.  That he has done so with some success (and I include staying up last season as success), with a commitment that I didn't believe he would show and a drive and determination that all of our younger players would do well to note and apply during their own careers and I have him way up the list.  Add some onfield success and he will be in the top 5.

There are a lot of fans who are not turning up who might wish to be ‘busting a gut’ too. However, COVID has not been fair to the old - and we do have I would suggest a quite old fan demographic - nor has it been kind to many in terms of income. I think it’s a bit crass to call out fans who in the past have done their bit, but for now have good reason for not being able to attend.

Didn't Brentford ditch their under 23's for a B team model?  It's an interesting question as to the cost/benefit of the academy as I'd imagine for a lot of clubs it might make sense for them to ditch their academies. If they are facing stiff competition for young players in their areas from more illustrious clubs it makes sense on the face of it. For instance, Brentford compete against Chelsea, Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur etc. all in a small radius. But, Derby don't have much competition on our doorstep, there is Burton, Chesterfield, and Notts Forest but that's it really. This might be an important difference.

Season going exactly as expected. Said before it started there would be some dark patches and maybe a couple of heavy defeats. At least those heavy defeats have stayed away.  Fulham tic toc.
I rarely post in this part of the forum nowadays. It’s always all or nothing, no middle ground on here bar a few. Gods one week, tossers the next. We are exactly where we all expected us to be.
The situation is what it is. Poor squad with a rookie manager, no money, not much of anything really. We all know why so little point in blitzing the squad or manager.

On a positive note. At least we still have a club to moan about. Right here, right now, that’s a good thing.

If so, shall we move onto the next game?
We are all disappointed in the last couple of games, but having read about sacking Rooney, players not caring, players giving up, our recruitment is awful, we are definitely down  even down without a points reduction in the last 24 hours, it's time to regroup and be realistic.
Rooney wasn't the best manager in the Championship 4 games ago and he isn't the worst now. What we do have is a thin squad mainly made up of veterans and youngsters. We started yesterday's game with half of our outfield players aged 34 to 39. With the new manager bounce they played a high tempo and we got overrun. We look tired and are ready for the international break.
Are we going down? We are certainly up against it. There are so many variables, admin points appeals, ffp appeals and takeovers and that's before we get to what happens on the pitch. I think the players are giving their all and until the Blackburn game, so were the fans. These are trying times and we need to stick together and stay optimistic. We need to still be in the fight when the New Year comes. By then we should know more about points deductions, new owners and transfer capabilities.
If we get deducted 21 points, there is little hope, but we can't give up yet. Every point is vital and every fans support is too. I hope that our fans recent negativity doesn't transmit to the games. so let's all dust ourselves down and keep supporting our great club as best we can.
I don't know if we can manage this great escape but if we do, it will take the collective will of all of us.

Derby - Hey, here's our accounts. By the way, we used an alternate method involving amortisation.
EFL - Hmmmmmm. It's unusual, but fine, we'll sign off on them.
    *Years Later*
EFL - Lol, changed our mind, now they aren't ok.

Derby - We've sold our stadium and will add the profit to our accounts.
EFL - We don't like that, but it's not against the rules. We disagree with the valuation of the stadium however.
Derby - OK. Here's a valuation from an independent company who provide a similar figure.
EFL - Nope, we don't agree with the professionals, we'll begin disciplinary action.

Independent panel - Derby didn't do anything wrong.
EFL - Meh, what do you guys know. We will appeal with a new independent panel.
New independent panel - We believe a 100k fine is appropriate for Derby's wrongdoing.
EFL - Nah, we don't like that, let's appeal. Oh and let's also try and relegate them after the season is finished.

Derby - Hey, we've renewed Jack Marriott's contract.
    EFL - OK.
    *6 months later*
EFL - Changed our mind. Marriott is free to leave. And no, you can't sign anyone to replace him, Waghorn, or any of the other players who left.
    *Months later*
Derby - Please, we don't have enough senior players to even field a team, just let us sign some.
EFL - *Sigh* Fine, but only 4 or 5. And no more than 4.5k a week! And if you re-sign players like Davies or Wisdom they will take up 1 of those spots.

Derby - Hey we're having some injury problems and would like to use a couple of young lads, but they'll then count as senior players. Can you be a little lenient with this?
    EFL - Lol no.

I'm really relieved the EFL are trying to help us and make us work. It's really nice to know they have our back.

I can confirm that; I've had the pleasure of speaking with him at The Old Vicarage too. He is a really great old-school gentleman who refused politely to tell me anything "juicy" about eg Maxwell although he did tell me some very funny anecdotes involving helicopters with Maxwell's leg hanging out. Arthur really is a diamond gentleman. It's time Rams TV caught up with him. Can anybody @Owen87ITK make that happen. I think Arthur generally ticks the "No publicity" box but surely we need to pour some love on him for what he did?

From my understandingly in administration the only outgoing should be essential costs of keeping the lights on as a football club, which is why you see unfortunate layoffs if not deemed essential to this.
They are accountants with the aim of getting the club a new owner. Whilst Mel appealing something like this would have come off as just another Mel vs EFL d*ck measuring contest, the administrators must have found something to prove administration was genuinely the cause of Covid and simply not just another excuse from Mel.
A reduction to the point penalty would increase our saleability after all and administrators would not spend 300k frivolously, so we'll see...

I would presume the administrators are not emotionally involved in their task other than a successful outcome for their company. They have complete access to all the information available while we only have bits and rumours.
If they believe there is a case to be made with the points then it could potentially make us far more saleable.

Im not advocating Ashley, or any of the names listed, but all I think is this. The club has a real chance of going bust. Not existing. No Derby county. It is that serious. The club my dad has been a ticket holder for over 45 years and myself 25 plus. I can't comprehend not going with him to watch the club we both love.
For me, at this moment in time all I care about is this club surviving. I couldn't give a rats about Ashley and his time at Newcastle if I am honest, or evans and his time at Ipswich.
If you are starving you don't turn down boiled pasta because you would rather have lobster. You could be dead before anyone does.
The dream ticket will not arrive.
This will not be fixed in a couple of years. This will take 10 years. I think we have to embrace that.
