  1. Leave the cb's to defend, let them be a threat from set pieces only, at least until they are a fully working defensive unit with better communication and trust. Every team will come to PP and sit in and counter, it's crazy to be so high up the pitch and open. Attack with attacking players, what we have or ideally a few new editions please.

  2. I hope he does well, i generally do.  Coz it feels like he is banging square pegs into round holes at the moment, just like last season. If he assembled a young team of lower league,non-league gems to mould into squad over time, i believe most folk would be more patient and positive. As it is, it feels like same problems, new season and our signings are getting older. I hope it works, starting tonight but i fear a brutal August looking at the fixture list.

  3. Curtains, nowhere in the history of this forum, have Jourdan and Tyler ever backed a manager, until now 😁. You know we will be promoted because of that alone. I was a little worried about signings but since then we have signed well imo, so hopefully we get our permanent forward signings in shortly.

I don’t get why there is so much negativity around the potential signing of Conor Washington. If Wiki stats are accurate, he has played 172 games in League 1, scoring 55 goals - that’s very close to 1 goal every 3 games. His championship  stats show only 20 goals in 151 games so a striking rate of less than 1 in 7. This suggests he’ll be okay for our division but probably not the championship.

I'm not being negative,  or trying not to be, my way of thinking is this. The defence has hopefully been improved, but everything in front of them is the same or weaker.  When last season ended, i like most people thought he needs time and to get his players in, which i still do but......  I was hoping he would address the midfield, getting a couple of box to box players to help with controlling and scoring  a few. Going with the same as last season a midfield that struggled at times and not scoring many, i think that's why the pressure has risen to get some goalscorers in the club. Can't see where the goals are coming from at the moment, plus the manager confused me with his comments about struggling to compete with other L1 sides, after the chairman said our budget can.

  5. Now that we are all calm and stable as a club, i was hoping we would do our business early. We know what we need, have done since we played Sheff Wed. Season starts in 4 weeks, i would ideally like the forwards in place for tactical reasons. Last season going forward the way Warne wanted, his message got lost/not carried out, due to not having the right players in. Could be another midnight at the end of august type of window, which would be disappointing.

  6. It's not over yet, but performances' are not great. It doesn't give me much faith if we land a playoff spot. Warne at the minute is reacting too slow to oppositions tactics/subs and our starting eleven and formations are sometimes baffling, folks are right to question this. I accept he has not got his players in yet, needs time/transfer window/pre season etc but he is burning up a little of this freewill. He should be doing more with the players he has, even if motivation was his only qualification.

I think that’s it for us this season and probably our wonderful manager too. Injuries and poor January recruitment have sunk us. If Dane Murphy was still around I doubt he’d have approved the likes of Wood and Shelvey.

I’d say see you next season but don’t have many hopes you’ll get to the playoffs let alone win them..

I don't think 70%  of your signings, were players Cooper wanted, he is just playing with the cards he's been dealt. The bottom of the prem is far more interesting than the top, i think a loss at an improving Villa will see him doomed.

Question for the Max haters / Lewis fanboys in here (seems to be pretty much everyone by the looks of it, no offence it just seems very anti-Verstappen in here):

Did you all hate Mercedes 2014-2020 dominance as much as you hate this Red Bull dominance? Or is it only because it's someone you don't like?

Mercedes let their drivers race each other though, it's more Karen than Max i really dislike.

Banter aside - 2021-23 has been the absolute best years (?) of my life as a football fan. Starting with the Euros, Steve Cooper turning around the worst start in what, a a hundred years, to gaining promotion. Remaining competitive in the PL and winning games? Up until recently nobody had taken more points than Forest in 2023. All under the best manager we’ve had since the big man.

You do make me laugh Bris. Last year you were probably the most sensible poster on here, and now.. it’s an absolute cope job. Forest are terrible, they can’t keep getting wins, oh it must be terrible being in the PL. Much better beating Lincoln and Morecombe in L1 ?‍♂️

Ask any NFFC fan. We’re on cloud 9 now. Of course we’ll get a few hidings, but this our our first year back. Survival is the only thing that matters immediately after promotion. You can build in the following years.

I question if you are a Forest fan at all, best manager since Clough lol. Cooper has not done a better job than Frank Clark, no where near, granted he could go on too, but no signs yet. Plus relegation isn't settled yet, despite you're confidence.

  10. My question is, does she only want to come back because isis was defeated ?  If they had won or were still going strong, she would probably want to stay, maybe ?  She was just a child, but travelled on her own freewill, having studied what life with isis was all about. Not letting her back, will deter others i think but i don't think leaving people stateless is the answer either. A tough call.
