ram59 got a reaction from r_wilcockson in Has the transfer embargo been lifted?
I'd be tempted to take a risk and let Marshall go. A player who was on the bench at the end of last season and is also a current international, who would attract interest and a small fee. Could then bring in a striker which is more important, atm.
In the unfortunate situation whereby Roos got injured, we should be able to get a keeper on emergency loan.

ram59 got a reaction from r_wilcockson in Krystian Bielik
I think that having Bielik back will make a huge difference also, he'll soon be back in training in and around the first team squad and hopefully playing by xmas if he matches his last recovery pattern. On that note, he seems to be implying that he is able to progress better this time, without the full lockdown restrictions from last year.

Maybe just maybe a number of other clubs are fed up with the way the EFL have acted towards us, fearing they could be next in the crosshairs. It is clear that the EFL are not fit for purpose and they have acted in a totally unprofessional manner towards us, resembling a little child stamping their feet as they haven’t got their way.
The ‘Professional Standing’ rule is a mockery and may well lead to teams not giving young players a run out or taste of first team action in case it comes back to bite them in the backside. A lot of clubs will be struggling for the near future so could easily be under an embargo like us.

ram59 got a reaction from jimtastic56 in EFL new board member- Peter Ridsdale.........
That's only half the story, take a look at Wiki, he's been less than successful at Leeds, Barnsley, Cardiff and Plymouth, leaving all clubs under a cloud.

The benefits of hindsight ?
Saw this on Twitter:
If Mel Morris had bought 5 million pounds worth of Bitcoin instead of Jacob Butterfield in 2016 we’d now have a transfer kitty of 220 million pounds for this season…

They've been low since the financial crash in 2008

ram59 got a reaction from silhillian in Mighty Rams are number 1, who are your number 2?
That's a bit 'old school' Olton, they've been Solihull Moors for the last 14 years.
Btw, Jamie Ward was playing for them last season, back to his roots.

ram59 got a reaction from RoyMac5 in 12th Man or start with 10?
Not really, you only have to look at the league table any season, to see that some teams are better home than other teams in a similar position and some are worse.
Quite often you'll see a midtable team's supporters moan that their home form is bottom six and their away form is top 6.

ram59 reacted to Dcfcmike in 2021 / 2022 New kit
First post on the forum. Not sure if anyone has picked up on this at dcfc.co.uk but thought I'd share.
Derby County is committed to responsible gambling, and unbranded kits are available by emailing DCFCmegastore@dcfc.co.uk; and the junior kits will not be branded.
glad this is being made available for anyone not liking the sponsor or wanting a simplier shirt. I've ordered a plain one.

Perhaps Rooney felt that Lawrence needed somebody to show some faith in him after he was left out the Welsh squad for the euros.

They should simplify the survey, just ask one question. Is the EFL fit for purpose?

Paul Mcgrath, remember him. Was 37 when we signed him and he won poty that season.
He couldn't train because of his dodgy knees too.

I think that there is a lot of negativity over Davies' potential contribution on here, if he stays.
He actually made 13 appearances last season, including one in the league cup. He suffered that bad injury, which I thought would finish his career at his age but definitely would put him out until next season. It says something about his physical and mental strengths, that he managed to return to help out in that crucial final game.
Now let's look at what he can offer the team for next season, he's too slow, but wasn't Darren Moore even slower? Moore showed that experience can carry you a long in that position in this league, during our promotion year. I think that Davies and Mengi could prove to be a decent partnership in the centre of defence.

I expect that Wisdom must have been on a decent wage also. Even if he does stay, I would think that it's on a greatly reduced contract.
