I bet some Barnsley fans were saying the same thing at the start of last season, before they ended up with 78 points.

Just got back home and seen the 'handball' on sky sports news, his arm is definitely sticking out and even the sky presenter thought so.
The Morrison 'foul' just before also seemed a nailed on free kick and yellow card, but they didn't show that one. Also how on earth was the late free kick against Buchanan enough to warrant a yellow, apart from him being in a white shirt?
That's now 2 wins against Stoke and Reading, despite awful refereeing.

Agreed, a lot depends on the new owners and what additions can be made to the squad. A couple of good strikers would be massive. As it is we have got CKR and Bielik to add to this squad, hopefully before Xmas.
Statistically, we're already on target, we have gained 5 points from 10 matches on the relegation three, this would equate to 23 points gained over 46 games.
    Unlikely, but certainly not impossible.

I agree, remember MM is still in a great position to influence the club's future, he still has a say in the cost of the ground and also, is owed a lot of money by the club. If he is still sympathetic to the club, he could write off the monies owed to him and negotiate very attractive ground rents. On the other hand, if things turn nasty, he could retaliate and make life a lot more difficult than it already is.

Morrison did slip in Buchanan and Baldock for great chances, before missing an open goal himself, though.

ram59 reacted to DanS1992 in My apologies to Mr Wayne Rooney
I wanted to start this thread to formally apologise to Wayne Rooney. I have been one of those who has criticised Rooney heavily and wanted him gone before all this mess came out, mainly during the horrible winless run last season. I now hold my hands up and admit I was wrong and badly so. Over the past few months, and particularly so during the last week, I am increadibly proud to have this man as manager of DCFC, even more so after today's press conference and that the dire state of the club is now revealed to us all. I now honestly think there is no better man to lead us through these dire times brought on by the IDIOT Mel.
Once again, my apologies to Wayne, and thank you for staying on during this mess. Thanks for your honesty towards the fans. Thanks for your commitment. You made me proud to be a DCFC fan today.

If you were a Rooney "out-er" and now wish to atone for your sins, let it all out!

Perhaps the administrators could offer next years season tickets at good prices, in order to get some quick funds in and so pay wages until new owners come in?
I think that many existing season ticket holders would be prepared to renew now at a discounted price, even with the knowledge of us likely being in league 1 next season.

Just been watching Sky sports news and what hit me was the irony of 2 topics of their program this morning.
First they were waxing lyrical over 'Liverpool's' future superstar wonder kid, Kaide Gordon and within minutes were discussing the demise of our club. They didn't mention at all the fact that Liverpool virtually 'stole' him from us.
How unfair is the system whereby a club has invested heavily in its academy, loses a player worth 10s of millions for a pittance. Nevermind the rights or wrongs of how Derby have got in this mess with overspending elsewhere, we have also spent money in the right place to develop a talent worth tens of millions of pounds, but without getting the reward.
No offense to Kaide or to Liam Delap, but if they had had the interests of the club at heart, like Jude Bellingham at Birmingham, we would be a lot better off. Jude Bellingham waited until his 17th birthday before signing professionally for the Blues, who then immediately sold him to Dortmund for £25M. You can't blame our youngsters because they may have picked up a career ending injury before their 17th, but you can blame the football system which allows this to happen.
So because of the different attitudes of three 16 year olds, Blues are plus £25M and Derby plus £2M when it should be plus £50M.
Derby's academy should have been able to clear our debts, but the system has prevented it.
