Well I think it was a very silly idea of Mel to put that roof on the stadium. I for one am not attending until there is some fresh air allowed in and out of the stadium. It must be like a COVID Petri dish in that stand where they do all that singing and jumping.

I'm not really sure what you'd expect any manager to do about this though. Surely the only answer is better players?
You can't blame Rooney for Morrison hanging onto the ball where there's a break on, for Shinnie backheading a ball into the path of onrushing Luton players, of Allsopp dropping a clanger. They are individual errors at moments in games. Nothing any coach can do about it. How can a coach legislate for some poor refereeing decisions?
What Rooney can do is motivate, organise, set them up tactically. The rest, once the game starts, is on the players. We're so much better than last year with a team that is punching hard and perhaps above its weight. I don't think any manager could get more out of them at the moment than Rooney is doing.
Genuine question, looking at last night's game, what bit of ingenuity are you referring to would have won us the game?

The way it is.  My dad won't go to games at the minute due to risk of illness complications but has spent £250 quid this week on crap made of static and cobwebs from the club shop. He's been a regular since about 1963 till the last couple of years and when they were terrible in the early 80's went home and away.  Are Newcastle a big club. When I went there in 1991/92 they were averaging 13-16k a game and they were nowhere near the position were in.  Leeds were filling less than half there ground 10 years ago.  When I went to Sunderland in 2007 they beat us and went top and the entire top deck of there stands was closed.  You won't be averaging 20k at any other club in this division if they were where we are.   With covid and a team full of kids and freebies with a 12 point deduction and more to come and practically no attacking options our gates have dropped around 20% from when we were flying .

There has already been a face to face meeting between EFL and Rams Trust, where other questions were fielded and answered (not necessarily in a good way!) The report of that is on the Rams Trust website and links were posted on this thread if you want to read it. The EFL insisted on approving and editing the report of that meeting.
They then gave Rams Trust an opportunity to ask follow up questions and these are those.
I don't think we necessarily think we will get straight answers to these questions either, but it is important to continue the dialogue and probe for chinks in their armour.
The questions are varied because they reflect the range of views of Rams Trust members, who were asked to contribute. I wouldn't have asked some of them myself, but the ones I wanted to ask were included so I am happy with the process.
I am finding it better to do something than to sit by moaning about it all. Not a criticism of anyone who doesn't believe in that route, but we need a really active - and wide reaching - Supporters Trust in future.
The EFL need to know fans' views, aside from the singing their praise at matches, this is one way of doing it!

So let's get this straight. Kieran Maquire, who's job (as shown above) is specifically to analyse football finances, noticed that our amortisation policy was an outlier in comparison with the rest of the league and pointed this out, which makes him partly to blame for Derby's financial crisis. Apparently he should have just kept quiet, not done his job properly and crossed his fingers that no one else noticed? Because his primary concern should obviously have been to try and ensure that Derby got away with it? Not that there was anything wrong with Derby's amortisation policy of course but he shouldn't have mentioned it anyway, just in case the EFL thought there was.
I've listened to all of his (absolutely excellent, by the way) Price of Football podcasts where they've covered Derby. He's not anti Derby or even anti Mel Morris, he simply points out that the underlying cause of Derby's financial crisis is the tripling of the wage bill over a 3 to 4 year period between 2014 and 2018. It's indisputable that that's the case.
He quite rightly called out Morris's failure to take adequate responsibility for the crisis. So did Wayne Rooney - presumably he's a 'snitch' too??
Sorry but this playground level stuff...

Must have been watching a different game to RammieIb. One or two times he did not make the right/obvious decision, but generally his passing was good to watch. My only criticism of him at the moment is that he never looks fit enough to last more than 70 minutes. At 2-1 we needed him on to help control matters.

We're a limited, motley crew, who will make mistakes, struggle at times but ultimately end up mid table before deductions.
I'm sure we could all single out players, and wish they'd improve 10%, but I don't think a single one of them could give another 10% effort, so that will do for me.
It probably won't be enough once the EFL have done with us, sadly, but we'll go down swinging if nothing else.
It feels a bit like a defeat tonight, but on reflection we scored two, which is progress of sorts.
