I particularly liked the part of the interview where he spoke of shedding a few tears, together with his wife,  when it was confirmed his takeover had completed.
Also made me laugh when he said about taking his family on holiday to some weird destinations to coincide with Derby's preseason friendlies.
Really comes across as a down-to-earth, level-headed, unassuming character who really does have our club’s best interests at heart.

Great to hear him say 
 " I will be listening to people  in all parts of the club"    Don't get the impression that Mel Morris did enough of this  and it is clear that his team from Clowes Developments are playing a big part.
Just as important was his intention to act with integrity and admitting that they won't have all the answers. His tribute to Lionel Pickering was welcome.
We are very fortunate  to have him as our owner and after all the garbage of the last twelve months it is hard to believe it has turned out like this. In the interview he seems such a genuine, likeable bloke.

I’ve watched the interview about 3 or 4 times now, it’s absolute brilliant to have such an honourable man in charge. Our saviour looks to have very little ego and is such a massive breath of fresh air compared to the previous car crash.
He’s a proper fan, not a fake. Knows his football. I imagine Morris to have read the latest football sports science info then retell it to the press with that annoying smirk. He was like Brent and Dostoyevsky!
He’ll listen to others, he won’t run it like a one man toy shop. He has a huge amount of respect for the club. He won’t let us down. We are so, so lucky to have David Clowes as our owner. Thank you!

He sounds like he knows his football. I started watching Derby around the same time maybe a few years later but Bobby Davison was the man in the 80’s. I was half expecting him to talk in the quietest voice you’ve ever heard and you could hardly make out any thing apart from cruise at 37000 feet.

Things I enjoyed...
Genuine fan with decades of supporting the team

Didn't criticise Kirchner
Talked about how emotional he was at buying the club
Really creating a decent relationship with the EFL
Gave credit to Lionel 
Didn't promise anything but talked about progress and stability. 
 
Not much more you could ask for. Hope he stay fairly quiet and enjoy the ride back to the top!

This…..Saunders and Goddard best pairing I’ve had the pleasure of seeing, lasted all too briefly sadly with Goddard wanting to move back to London. I remember Saunders debut from the top tier of the Ozzie end ?what a way to announce yourself how we could do with that pairing now!

It’s all very quiet on Byrne at the moment. He is some player and would be a huge asset in this league. If it hadn’t been for Curtis being ever present and such a hero that he would have been POTS. So consistent in both attack and defence. You couldn’t blame him for taking an offer that could well equate to double wages - I’d say good luck lad and thanks for the Sterling efforts, but I would love it somehow he re signs. I know it’s unlikely. I’d still love to know sooner rather than later. 

If your expecting Bird & Nunn to gel instantly I think your on a wing and a prayer. 

As it turned out, Mel made a complete and utter b***s up of running the club.
He spent way too much, badly managed the finances and ultimately jeopardized the very existence of the club.
Nevertheless, I do not see why people even now think that was his intention.
He was trying to get Derby into the Premier League against a backdrop of unfair competition - and we all agree with him on that: parachute payments, the EFL, the structure of the TV money, badly thought out FFP rules.
He just made a total hash of it - by going too far, by inconsistent choice of managers, paying over the odds for players etc.
But, as is usually the case in woeful situations, that's because of incompetence not conspiracy.

I was at a do last night and a mate introduced me to Richard Stearman. What a lovely guy, he was really friendly and we chatted for 10-15 minutes and he had a photo with my lad. Some of the things he said:
The players were shocked about Rooney leaving and still don’t know why he’s gone.
He doesn’t see McGoldrick as a number 9, says he’s most effective attacking from wide. Said we definitely need to bring in a number 9.
The players we’ve just signed all had offers to play for more money at a higher level. They all really want to be here.
I really got the the impression that they’re all excited about this season.
I do have to caveat the above though. You see…
