Just to illustrate my point, both Wycombe and Portsmouth released front row seats this morning.

So 15 + members bought what they assumed to be front row tickets at both Wycombe and Portsmouth and could now potentially have someone who hasn’t been to an away game all season standing in front of them.

This. It's just plain stupid. I have raised with SLO on numerous occasions.

"It's out of our hands" is always the reply I get. Aaarggh!

Northampton have lost Tony Springett to Ireland under 21's and their striker Kieron Bowie to Scotland Under 21's. So bare bones up front for them on Saturday.

That's good. I know he was only with us for a short while but Springett would have enjoyed playing against his mates, for sure. Still keeps in touch with them at least on Instagram.

100% - that's really disappointing from Radio Derby. Trying to cause controversy where literally none exists

I came away thinking that, for once, there was nothing really controversial said.

The only bits even vaguely contentious were Matt Hale saying that they taught the academy players to "cheat"

and PW saying that he completely respects the rights of the fans to boo his players off the pitch at full time if you feel that they haven't performed well enough

And even that comment about booing was said to make the point not to do it during the game itself, to keep supporting the players during the game because it does lift them.

I think the best policy is for those of us not there last night to reserve judgement until we have watched the full recording rather than respond to snippets leaked via X. That includes me.

    Well said.

We were told not to record or anything last night, as the Club would be putting out the full video today.

I was therefore a bit disappointed to find out that Dietrich was live tweeting, but putting out his own slant on what was said. His headline on X

Fallout? Hardly, and the subtext makes it sound like Brown has left as well as Fleming.

Just slightly seedy and not at all a reflection of the mood of the room last night.

Not trying to start a Pearce pile on, but what point is he trying to make about the independent regulator here? That they would have stopped Morris?

He said that the independent regulator would be able to intervene with owners if needed, no mention of Morris, and that it may lead to a more even distribution of broadcasting monies.

He said that there has been virtually unanimous support from the 72 EFL clubs, apart from a few clubs in receipt of parachute payments.

I was there, and it was a flippant short answer "no" - because all of his other answers had been lengthy and light-hearted

The context was actually that they don't plan to make any more decisions on contracts until they know what division we are in next season. That the focus is 100% on the seven remaining games

The bit added on the tweet about "lots of changes" was not, as I remember it, said in the direct context of answering that question.

FWIW I recommend everyone watch the replay tomorrow, but only Warne's bits - the rest was really, really dull

I liked the dull bits. 😊

Depends what you're there for, really.

    Taken from a young Bolton fans vlog………………from 9min 30secs.

As someone in the background said "f***ingredients embarrassing!"

Fighting with your own fans. 🙄

In the heat of the moment, even folk in the West Stand Upper were on their feet, and that's understandable, but they sat down again when play settled down.

It's the wilful standing that needs sorting.

    Are you in charge? 😂

I'm going to this after all. My hubby thought it would be a nice surprise for our wedding anniversary!

I think clubs need to adopt safe standing spaces for away fans and vigorously ensure at least 20% is sit down only for those who are unable to sit. Football in the past 30 years has become a much better environment for children, women and those who are older. It'd be terrible if people started drifting away because a few people can't bear to sit for 90 minutes. Don't get me wrong at home games I'd prefer to be standing. But I respect the fact that when not in the South Stand it's not appropriate or fair for me to do so.

Exactly. At the moment I can still stand if I have to, (which is 90% of our matches) but what happens when I can't? No more away games?

Indeed.  I'm 6ft 4.  If I am in front of you, you will see nothing.  I feel guilty standing for the players walking out and the "Steve Bloomer song", let alone the whole game.

I know I'm in the minority, but I do think going back to standing is a retrograde step.  Like those who want to go back to no health and safety; dubious child-rearing techniques and Fahrenheit as it seems nostalgic.

You must be the bloke who stands in front of me at nearly every away match! I'm 5ft 4. 🥲😉

I think that's too binary of an interpretation. Yes, the users are driving it, but the tech companies use an incredible amount of tricks that keep users glued to the screen for as long as possible. Not to mention, a lot of users are young people that may not quite understand the importance of living in the real world too.

This is the saddest thing to me. I fear we are the last "social" generation.

All the blocks have now been opened up, this is what’s left.

    Wycombe 125.

Portsmouth 344 of which 38 are seats.

Interesting how many of the seats have gone first, I bet a good 60% of them to people with no intention of sitting down.

I'm looking forward to watching the fun!

I'm of the understanding that the matchday thread starter continues until we lose?  🤷‍♂️
As @Rampantis currently... erm... running rampant, in terms of actual results and indeed quality of the opening posts, I think it would be very, very silly to put a spanner in that particular fine work.

Leave well alone I say, and let Rampant take us all the way to the Championship!

They were asking when, not who.
