  1. If Warne stays next season I can’t wait to see us played off of the pitch with nice football by Clough’s mighty t Mansfield Town perhaps some might realise then you don’t have to play L1 percentage football to be successful I’ll be watching it on rams tv though because

If Warne is here next season I won’t be travelling on average over 300 miles every game ….44 years since my first game in 1980  of driving up and down the country but no more enough is enough

Going to be hard pushed to find a manager who is that perfect and out of work

Mark Warburton would be my choice his Brentford team played lovely attacking football he was big part of West Ham’s coaching staff last season and think he has a point to prove …that’s why he left them as he wants to get back into management very good coach and can work on a budget

  3. As mentioned before can see next season L1 being  a much tougher division to get out of L1 specialists Rotherham and teams like Charlton under Jones will be up there

let’s get this right no matter what your opinion of Warne is …this division is really poor this season I don’t even think Pompey are that good so this season is a big missed oppurtunity if we don’t go up ….we are no better than any of the sides in the top 6!!!!! And I think with a bit more emphasis on control in games we should be

Wildsmith was very rash tonight and substitutions were poor and couldn’t understand moving Cashin to LB ….bizarre

I don't get it. Cory Smith was having a good game tonight and gets substituted. NML was not at the races tonight and could have done with a rest and stays on the park. We continue in this vein of form in our home games and we will fail to get 2nd place.

I thought Smith and Gayle were good tonight and both brought off ?

Surely keep Gayle on for a bit longer as Waggy doesn’t look fit at all

What are these players being told to do in training? Surely it’s not get it out wide and hope NML can pull something out his backside for hours a day? Cos if it’s not that then we’re either praying for a set piece or a bit of magic from somewhere. We’ve created absolutely nothing against a team that haven’t won since November.

We turn every game into a scrap as if we’re the underdogs which of course suits 90% of this torrid division down to the ground. Why play around them when we can try and out-battle teams that haven’t got half as much talent as us? Baffling.

    Perfectly put

Really ? Too defensive. Still the empty space in the middle of the pitch. Miserable number of goal attempts. Bird was poor and not playing as far forward as in some recent games. Little support for Gayle. ,  ... yes a ..great midfield tonight. ..

Bird has been good recently but he was poor tonight …some may blame Ebou for second goal but he covers so much of the pitch and puts his body on the line he’s the first name on the team sheet in midfield for me also thought Sibs and Waggy were very ineffective Korey Smith was good tonight

  7. I thought Gayle and Smith were playing well so don’t get the change …Waggy looks woefully short of fitness and Sibley was very average I don’t think I it needed changing

next season will be tough better sides and a tough robust L1 side in Rovrum lead by Warne will be up there competing with us …..

Never liked Cambridge since they beat us 3-0 in 1980 (We'll be back in 81 T shirts etc).  I'm glad we trashed the place , let the cows out from the field next to the car park and generally behaved like complete bamfords.

Also loads of spies and pisspoor politicians went to Cambridge. And its in the middle of nowhere and full of nonces (probably).

    Boo.

I was there ... opening game of the season   a saturday 3pm ko  full of optimism Biley and Swindlehurst up top, surely we will cruise this game ...all packed in like sardines in the very shallow terracing in the away end, a terrible result being beaten 0-3 ...a real shocking result

  9. I really hope we don't try and play NML down the centre , he causes more problems and is far more effective when out wide

    This would be my team

                                                    Wildsmith

                                      Nyambe    Nelson        Cashin      Elder

                                                        Adams   Hourihane

                                                                  Bird

                                    Barkhauisen         Gayle             NML

we need CBT showing why we bought him so hopefully he will make an impact from the bench if fit

My team is  harsh on Bradley who I thought played really well on saturday and Sibley but I want to see us go for it but doubt this will happen

Charlton play 3 at the back and can't see Warne deviating much from the shape we played at there place but 3 at the back still doesn't suit us especially at home so hope we go 433 and have a proper go, if we did and got 2 or 3 up the game would be over before HT something that would be more akin to Mac days than Warne but hope we get 3 points in what looks like a tricky game

  10. I remember how well Johnny Stead done for us when he joined us and scored some vital goals and not much was expected of him to be fair ….the difference is and no disrespect to any of our other strikers but Gayle is the best striker we have ….played and scored at a high level and a player I have always think will pop up with a goal when you least expect it because he’s a poacher

very happy with this and some teams in L1 will now have to watch him closely when they play us which might free up space for others
